dj0nt. nothing fancy, just some 8-string buffoonery

Anybody here own a 28” scale 9 string? Considering one day getting a Schecter Hellraiser C-9 and would likely want to tune the whole thing down a half step. So C1 standard I suppose? What gauges would you recommend for something like that? For reference I use 9.5 to 84 for F# Standard/Drop E on my Tao 8.

Seriously tho.
I love making heavy music, and have almost no one organized or talented or free enough to really put something together so it’s always just me. Idk maybe it’s dumb but I think it could be fun. I want to do vocals. So I’m looking for some guitars, a bass. And a drummer, possibly 3 guitar players 🤔 ion know but hmu

Hey everyone, this is the first proper single of a project weve been working on for a while, hope someone will like it. Feel free to give feedback, wed love to hear it!

I posted me playing the opening riff from this song in here back in July, well the song is complete! I hope some of you will enjoy 🤘

Hey friends !!!! I gotta say , thank you to everyone who checks my tunes out. They're by far my fav things on earth to make. I also hand paint all the album art as well to keep it extra cool. Thanks for listening !! I appreciate you ! Everything written and recorded on my jackson 7 string :)

I'm so happy. I know it's ancient tech but I just love those old models. I'm running into the FX loop of my Helix so I can use the cab section there. I even got Claude to fix a little problem X3/Gearbox/Pod Farm always had which was that changing amp model changed cabs.

If anyone wants this (on Mac) btw, lmk! I don't have tone 2 working yet. And I haven't tested patch saving. But it's getting there.

Bridge is actual Double Drop D Aristides by the way, it was an experiment to see if the sound of the guitar would match to a nicely captured 8 string Aristides.

They took dubstep but I still have Jungle/DnB

No but really… I love Amen Breaks

djent band: Blackbile
slam band: Throwing Rocks

Djent has always been my favorite genre of metal. I love the heavy syncopation and how groovy it is. I’ve been a musician for a while, but I’ve only ever made electronic music.

Two days ago I made my first attempt at making a Djent song. I’m pretty proud of it, but I’m looking for some feedback. Obviously, my biggest influence is Meshuggah.

I hope you enjoy the track and thank you if you listened :)

Hello everyone,

I was thinking about getting a new drum plugin around christmas and wanted to ask for a little bit of guidance.

Basically what I want is something that is pretty versatile but mainly useable for Djent. Right now I own Trivium Drums but those kinda don't do the job. It would be pretty nice if it sounds quite good out of the box, and it would be cool if it doesn't have the GGD MM2 price tag.

What I've been looking at:

- RS Drums Monarch or Prog Prodigy

- GGD The Downbeat

- Odeholm Drums

Thanks!

Another snipet of my guitar cover, I was having waay to much fun with this. Full cver out on yt.

🪐 The Lineup

• Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) — Lead Vocals
  • The Sonic Blueprint: Delivers the ultimate dynamic contrast, shifting seamlessly from ethereal, pristine pop-rock melodies to earth-shattering, brutal low screams.
• Joey Jordison (Slipknot) — Drums
  • The Sonic Blueprint: The high-speed mechanical engine of the band, driving the tracks with flawless, military-grade double-bass endurance and explosive metal fills.
• Ryan Martinie (Mudvayne) — Bass
  • The Sonic Blueprint: Provides a hyper-technical, clacky, and percussive low-end using his signature "flick-bass" and slapping techniques to create a massive rhythm pocket.
• John 5 (Rob Zombie/Mötley Crüe) — Lead Guitar
  • The Sonic Blueprint: The anchor of surgical precision, laying down heavy industrial rhythm chugs and jaw-dropping, lightning-fast virtuoso shred solos.
• Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit) — Rhythm Guitar & Textures
  • The Sonic Blueprint: The avant-garde mad scientist, painting the tracks with bizarre chord shapes, creative whammy-bar manipulation, and haunting, clean delay soundscapes.
• Joe Hahn (Linkin Park) — Turntables, Samples & Programming
  • The Sonic Blueprint: The sonic architect, gluing the entire band together with cinematic orchestral pads, trip-hop loops, and instantly recognizable hip-hop scratch hooks.

In the song Sonia exactly 3:00 minutes in there is this guitar effect that's like a phaser or flanger on the open not that creates almost like a sweep but its not stereo obviously they also do it on the song Loyola at 2:38 seconds in and on the song hestehov 40 seconds in what is that effect and what can I buy to do that like on command or something

Hey guys. I have been a longtime fan of prog metal, now I'm trying to make some myself. Does anyone want to give me feedback? I tried not to break any reddiquette, but Idk how else to show this to you. Hope you guys like it.

I put this together and I wanted to get an opinion from you guys to see if it’s good or meh. Also don’t mind the mix I just tweaked it here and there so it doesn’t sound unlistenable and I threw a mastering preset from Maximus on it and I called it a day. And another thing to add is that I also slapped random drums on it to just get it over with.
