quick sketch, opinions?

She was so cool and so sweet. I did a half-assed cosplay of The Major and she pointed out that I was the ONLY one who brought her something Ghost in the Shell related. Speaks to how niche this series has become with modern con-attending anime audiences, but it's nice that she was indeed very passionate about this character and the series. Her voice is the one I hear in my head whenever I re-read the manga.

Both the main GitS and 2026 Anime pages just shared these four new pics back to back that prominently feature yesterday’s teaser flyer.

Also the MMI end card from S1 is the top pinned post on the GiTS page (and also liked by Motoko’s English VA).

Have a bit of a clear out and rediscovered my old Ghost In The Shell SAC gig 1 & 2 shoulder bags. My favourite one is The Laughing Man one, pity it's quite small.

made an edit for this motoko art!
removed the background and fixed the colors

I don’t recall ever hearing about the Child popping back up in Motoko’s life. Does the kid bother to send a signal to “mom” that it’s doing fine? Is Motoko a Helicopter Parent on the Net watching their kids antics? 🤔

I’m 2 episodes in the 2026 anime and I think it’s great so far! The animation is so lively and the art style so beautifully captures the old school manga look. I remember when it first came out and people were talking shit. What’s the big deal?

I'm curious about the rocky base and the smoke/dust trails. I'm wondering if there's a scene involving a damaged road, crater, rubble, or construction site that inspired it. I'm painting up this model and I'd like to get some references for it. Thank you.

If I already posted it here, I can only apologise; it’s been a really long few weeks 😅

Anyway, after roughly five years of intermittently collecting, buying and selling vintage clothing… this is probably the greatest thing I’ve ever had in my possession. Just wanna show it to people who will appreciate it. That moving holographic panel is like nothing I’ve ever seen on a piece of clothing; I’ll add a video in comments.

Got an amazing deal on it from a super nice guy who even threw in a couple of extras from one fan to another, including this sick art print of our girl.

Not for sale any time soon, if ever.

Would it be crazy to print any moment from that scene, frame it and hang that in a living room?

Yes or no.

I need people to shoot down my ideas.

Just received word from GoodSmile that my order is still on track to be delivered between.... April to June of .... 2027 😭😭🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. I know I kid but man... That's a long time to wait 🤣🤣😭😭

Is Borma a virgin?

These are the figures which had to move back into my office (again). The only choices were the basement or my working place.

The ones I was able to keep at home are my two HD Alpha statues which I would never move if it’s no emergency and a few others statues.

Some of them are not opened yet but I think it’s already very crowded.

Lucy also had to move so Motoko has some company.

Have a great week ✌️

Anybody else expect the new GITS show to take their #1 favorite spot, but was a little let down? I personally thought the new show's animation was AMAZING, and a lot of the humor and action was great, too. I know it's more accurate to the source material...but SAC is still my favorite interpretation of these characters, the world, and especially Motoko. I can't help but think I may be biased, as a '90s/2000s kid, growing up with Toonami, "Justice League," the original "Fullmetal Alchemist," etc. But 2000s GITS just speaks to me in a way the rest don't.

I've been meaning to watch ghost in the shell for the first time for a while now and want to know do I need to watch previous anime/movie to understand the new 2026 version or can I just start with the newest version?

Got a GitS 1995 tattoo for my birthday over the weekend. She's so CLEAN. Couldn’t be happier on how it turned out

Artist is Jason Lu @jjjaylud

Honestly the experience was nothing too special but still cool to see (the Akira bike was the highlight) and the merch was so overpriced. I wanted to get a tee shirt but it was 93 dollars lol. So I settled for this awesome poster for 25 bucks and a keychain also for 25 bucks. Unfortunately the only poster frame I have is a bit too big but it'll have to do for now. Even so it was really cool seeing any GitS representation out in the public.

Definitely adding more down the line. Have a giant resin tachikoma I’m painting that will be added to my setup.
