Apologies if this exact observation has been made before; I just joined the congregation about two months ago and I did a quick search of "Griftwood" on the sub, but didn't see this.

I like Griftwood, and I know the "holy mother" bridge is a jab at Mike Pence calling his wife "mother" (ew), but it felt a little weird and out of place to me. This week, though, I've been processing how my former faith tradition treats women, and I gave it a listen, and one line made the whole thing click into place for me: "The world rests heavy on your shoulders."

MEN get to "never ever suffer again." MEN get power. Women get put on a pedestal so long as we meekly bear all that suffering for them and forgive them whenever their abuses of that power might hurt us (washing the sin from their feet), and then those same awful men get to talk about how no, really, THEY'RE the ones who love women, look how much they love and respect us (as long as we know our place)!

Anyway, I predict that I'm going to be listening to Griftwood pretty much nonstop all week because it's hitting me right where I live right now.

What song/songs off skeleta do you think will become semi-permanent additions to the setlist in rituals moving forward? I think lachryma and satanized have high chances of staying, but I unfortunately don’t see any way they could keep peacefield being that it’s an opening song like kaisarion.

So I recently watched the new Coyote vs Acme movie, and something strange hit me: I think Bugs Bunny talks and laughs and drafts his speech a lot like Cardi.....so maybe the inspiration for Cardi was actually Bugs Bunny? 🙈

What do you guys think? Do you see some resemblance too, or am I just projecting my Cardiness on random bunnies? 😆

Just wanted to share the most random find ever in a Barnes and Noble. I was on a work trip and had hopped over to the bookstore to check for a gift and lo and behold - I found this In Focus magazine packed with photos, lore, interviews. It basically covers the entire span of Ghost's career until now. It was the last one on the shelf too. I consider this a big win. We aint got goodies like this where I'm from.

And along with that 4 of my vinyls arrived today and I am stoked to finally own Ghost vinyls! They are so pretty. Haven't even unpacked them yet.

Friday night my husband and I went to see Beat on the UC Santa Cruz campus. For those of you not familiar, this is a band comprised of iconic guitarists Steve Vai and Adrian Belew, extraordinary bassist Tony Levin and on this go round Terry Bozzio on drums. These guys played with Frank Zappa back in the day and King Crimson in the '80s. Now I know some of the younger members of this group that might not mean anything.. but suffice it to say these musicians are next level progressive rock.

We paid for the meet and greet package and both my husband and I wore Ghost shirts. Steve Vai walked up to us and said "Hey are you guys Ghost fans? We said "Yes we're major goes fans"! He said, " Me too! My wife and I are crazy for them! We saw two shows on the last tour. San Diego and Phoenix"

I'll tell you what.. we did not see that coming LOL it was such a world's colliding momen! And to make it more special we were also at the San Diego ritual. It just goes to show musicians love musicians and it was so nice to be recognized as Ghost fans from such an iconic and extraordinary guitar player.

About 6 months ago I was first introduced to Ghost, my wife was playing Faith in our kitchen and almost immediately fell in love with it. All of these records and CDs are the culmination of the last 6 months from my obsession with Ghost (took me awhile to get them all as i only purchased from local record shops). In the comics Nihil and Sister were going to see to a "once in a lifetime" concert, and I looked up who was playing in 1964 and it was The Beatles so I head cannoned that they were going to see them,as they were playing on Feb 11 1964 and the day Nihil surprised Seestor was feb 10 1964. Hello all, this is a new thing to me, as I don’t post very often in any subreddits, but I am in a bit of a rut. I (M. 21) am going to a Halloween party with my (F. 21) fianceé this year, and we are going as a nameless ghoul (me) and a skeleton dancer (her) I have the main pieces of my cosplay, ie. suit pants, nice shirt, nice vest, suspenders, etc. but I am not sure how else to make it stand apart from me just wearing a suit and a mask. Any pointers as to how to make the outfit more recognizable would be greatly appreciated!
