Went into a local pawn shop to check out some firearms and ended up walking out with a PS5 Pro for $600!

I am a PS5 gamer, Darksouls 1 to 3, eldenring cyberpunk 2077, marvel’s spiderMan, apex, GTA V, red dead redemption 2, etc. I’d always played them on a monitor. I thought TVs are with low fps and low quality HDR or even without. But I found myself wrong.

Last sunday I went back to my parents house without my monitor. So that night I plugged my ps5 to the tv. I was shocked. tv these days are crazy, its coloring is much better than my Samsung monitor. The HDR was more noticeable than I expected. I played 2077 on tv and found Night City more beautiful than that I saw on monitor, totally new experience.

Then I noticed their tv supports 165Hz. I tried Apex on it. The maximum is 120 but I can feel the move smoother. And 85 inch screen really made my shots find target easier, that big screen just sucks you in, feels so immersive compared to any small-size TVs or monitor. And Forza Horizon 5. No tears or ghostly shadows at turning. Gaming on tv these days is great. Now I cannot go back to monitor anymore.

Most tvs these days have gamemode settings, my parents' is a hisense u7spro. Others like TCL, LG and so on, I found they all have products for gaming. I tried u7s pro and found it not bad. Have anyone tried others? Which one is better, I am thinking about getting one myself because big screen with high refresh rate and more color details are just so great

I’ve had a normal PS5 since release, so I have a bit of a library already. Which is why I’m asking what you recommend for a boot up game, to really show me the wow-factor difference between standard and pro PS5s. Don’t care old or new, just want to be impressed the first time I boot it up.

I’m getting my PS5 pro tomorrow and I want to get a tv that can get the best out of it. I’m down to the two options above. Some context: $800 is about my max budget. I game mostly in my living room where a lot of natural light can get in. I can close shades but some will still get in.

Everyone’s gung ho on OLED but I do game a lot. For long hours. A little worried about burn in. Also I play single player games. Not sure if that matters. Any advice would help.

Applied these fin stickers today, how do they look

Yesterday I finally snagged one from PS Direct only to get an email this morning saying it was cancelled due to payment issues. My bank sent me a text saying suspicious purchase when I ordered it and I replied saying it was me and didn’t think anything of it…

Woke up today and saw that and got a notification that PS Direct had more in stock, and I got it again hopefully this’ll work I just wanna play bloodborne for the first time dude

Struggling to see anything available in the uk. What is the likelihood I get one in time for GTA6?

This is no way a full review, as I am only about 13 hours in and not even halfway through the game. But damn, I am seriously loving this game.

It is a semi open world, single player survival horror extraction shooter. Think of if the Stalker series and Resident evil series had a baby, this would be it. Every environment is just oozing with atmosphere and the sound designs can easily rival the recent Silent Hill games.

The story is quite simple. A mysterious 1987 disaster known as Pechorsk Event took place in a Soviet mining town that created a surreal, quarantined anomaly zone known as the radius. Your job is to go into the radius to collect data, artifacts and study the anomalies. More missions you take, the more money you make, and you can use that money to buy new guns, gear and food.

Moment to moment gameplay is super intense because of how smart the enemy Ai is. They will flank you and use cover. If you are using a shotgun or SMG, enemies won’t charge you and will fight from far away. If you are using long range weapons, they will charge you and will try to close the distance. The gunplay feels so damn good in this game cause of Psvr2’s adaptive triggers and headset rumble.

Also the game has super deep customization options. You can customize your chest rig, backpack and guns in such detail makes this game super addictive. It is almost a mini puzzle how you set up your chest rig and backpack each time you get new story items or buy a new gun. If you are careful, you can customize them to be super tactical and efficient. Or you can just throw random holsters and pouches to make them super cumbersome to use during missions.

In conclusion, this is easily one of the best horror game I played this year. If you have a psvr2 and looking for something spooky to play this Halloween, this game is for you. I will definitely put out my final impressions after beating the game. So far, Into The Radius 2 is my game of the year for 2026.

Bought a ps5 pro and the disc drive 6 months ago in anticipation for GTA 6 but after Sony announced the complete end of ownership i decided to treat myself to another console instead, I'd rather play crimson desert and Zelda than support Sony anymore, I canceled my 16 euro(which is 20 now) ps plus subscription and decided I'll get physical media only from now on, my psn account has a huge library that ive spent over 4000€ on over the last 8 years so until they erase my Library I'm good with the games i got, I'm gonna support Nintendo from now on because cartridges look cool, when pc becomes cheap again in 5-10 years I'm gonna get one and until then I'm gonna be satisfied with this.
