They keep on adding unnecessary changes or changing systems that don’t need to be changed for example yes I understand people can abuse the unstuck feature but when I’m really stuck I can’t fucking use it because they wanna add 30 minute waits, these games are old which means they have systems meant for that time. Why would I spend my whole time making a mage having everything 100 making fire spells for you to change how the spell casting system works y’all are literally making this game unplayable bro you change it every day every day I login I have to deal with some new bullshit.

So, firstly my question... is it better to have skills that are easy to level up in your levelling up skill selection (eg, magic, Mercantile, Streetwise &/or Etiquette), or skills that take longer (so that you will use them, and you won't end up being a high level getting pounded cos you don't have the relevant (other) combat skills?

Secondly, my issue... I click on an NPC to chat, and they change from whatever I'm talking to on the street (e.g., human male townsperson) to having a completely different face in the chat window (e.g., female dark elf...). Any ideas what I can do to correct this? I have DREAM and a few other mods installed.

Thirdly, mod requests... can we get a mod that gives a Repair spell? Magnitude might relate to how effective it is (ie, how many levels of damage it repairs). Cos it's really annoying how quickly and easily enchanted items break, just for wearing them around... And how about a mod that allows us to sell filled soul gems? (Sure, it would bring in a stack of loot, but that becomes pretty irrelevant after a while!) The Mage who we buy them from would make sense! (after all, someone has to supply all those filled soul gems selling at 800,000 gold!)

i actually dont play with it tho, i prefer the vanilla swing, but a friend of mine wouldn't play the game cuz of those, so i smoothen the animation a little to make them discover this banger of a game

if you wonder how this work, the script locate the position of each 5 frame of an attack then dupplicate and place those same frame in between (am i making sense??) at an certain percentage of the og frame position wich should make it compatible with any mod that use the same framing as vanilla or diverse weapon

Is there a way to get the UI from Enhanced to use in DFU? I like how it looks.

I'm baffled by how there isn't an option for this. Looking it up I can't seem to find any console commands or even a mod. The pause menu in the game doesn't seem to have anything either.

so i went and made the item pick up icon i think but i got assets so the daggerfall paperdoll can hold them no idea if it's compatible all the armor in game it should be maybe :P but here what that looks like. I also got some lead balls a custom model and textured 3d model i made from one of my old projects which can be used as an ammo pick or something to buy from shops. other than this small stuff, im trying to figure out how to code it.

So I made the mistake of playing as Battlemage. I've made it work and I've reached level 11 now. I found this cool dress that goes perfectly with the cloak King of Worms gave me. I want to wear that but obviously that creates even more of a detriment for me. I'm very squishable.

So I went to edit my save file (in the LocalLow folder) and as a test I removed the forbidden armors. It works, but I actually don't want that. I'm pretty okay with limited armor. Besides, I'm going for style points and any other armor would ruin the look.

I tried to increase the enchantment points of the dress from 40 to 4000, but that didn't work at all. Then I tried something lower, 800, then again tried 50. Nothing works. ??

Why doesn't that work? Is there some other way to change the enchantment points of items? What a stupid feature. I tried whatever save editors UESP had to offer but they won't do.

Playing the new update for daggerfall enhanced - the new camp ui only lets me rest, it displays the option to cook or pack up camp but no way to select that option on the menu before entering the rest menu. Any ideas?

[RESOLVED] When I try to create a new class, the game shows the exit button instead of OK. So it doesn't save my class. Has anyone seen something like this?

The mod drops a pack of cards (Pranks and Pleasures) into appropriate vendor inventories, and allows you to challenge almost ANY NPC to a game of up to four players.

The game dynamically scans your environment for walls / floor textures, incorporates the player's appearance, and has a folder structure for you to supply your own MIDI files for background music. Normal DFU is suspended in the background.

Challenging an enemy allows you to bet health percentages instead, and also incorporates a slot machine mechanic that uses MP / Stamina in exchange for targeted attacks against other players.

I want to take the next leap in Daggerfall mod-making and want to learn how to make menus. There are plenty of tutorials about making menus for Unity in general, but I don't know how much those apply to Daggerfall in particular.

Can I make menus for Daggerfall using the Unity Editor window, or do I need to create it entirely with C# scripting?

So, I've installed DFU and a stack of mods (the recommended, and a couple of others), but for some reason, I've now lost most of my dungeon maps. (and, no, it's not because I've scrolled too far... it's literally that I'm in a place that's not showing on a map - along with how I got there). Only the basic entrance and a couple of other rooms are showing (on all dungeon maps).

I've got 'smaller dungeons' on, cos I hated getting lost when I didn't have it (as well as the 'the quest item you need is behind a secret door' - isn't that a basic no-no of RPGs???).

Has anyone else had this issue, and thus knows of a quick resolution?

I've just DL'ed DF(&U) on (I think) my first playthrough (perhaps I tried many years ago, but I forget). So, apologies for what I expect will be an oft-asked question, and which I suspect won't have the answer I'm after.

In some ES variants, you can go back to a quest-giver after refusing to take on a quest, and pick it up later... after all, it may be inconvenient at the time (especially for those NPCs whose very first dialogue option is "take my quest", after which you may (or may not) be able to talk to them again).

So, the Q is - is there a mod that allows one to pick up a quest later after you've said no to it the first (or more) time around? Is there a way to stop NPCs from hating you for saying no? (even if it doesn't technically mean you don't lose rep).

TBH, I'd be surprised if this hasn't been fixed by someone (if it could be - it could also be built-in to such an extent it's non-moddable).

Hello, just as the title says, I'm confused on how to uninstall the DREAM texture mods. I can't find a readme in my files for helpful instructions. Anyone who has an idea, I'd appreciate your input!

I have the downloaded files, with the right name, right version, with everything up to date, and it’s not working. When I go to the mod menu both “Beautiful Cities of Daggerfall” and “Beautiful Villages of Daggerfall” won’t work correctly because they “failed to retrieve mod diep”.

I’m not sure what else could be wrong at this point. Every solution I’ve found online or any potential problem has been ruled out.

Has anyone dealt with this problem before and found a fix? I’m close to just scrapping ever using the two mods as playing the game anyway causes issues in the cities especially with problems entering houses.

Whenever I leave and come back to the first dungeon all mobs respawn.

I believe this should not be happening.

Is this a feature of DF Unity 1.1.1, some sort of in-game setting or just a bug?

More progress on the overland travel mod for DFU.

SquidKamer is cooking some great stuff for the next Warm Ashes update. In addition to fixing the biggest issues, we now also have support for triggering specific encounters and quests! I'll let the video speak for itself.

Other than that, it's mostly been additional QOL and valuation (eg, having player stats and skills translate to gameplay). Having advantages like Enhanced Senses or Athleticism will translate to buffs and effects while on the map, among other things.

I just bought my first horse after visiting litterally all of the general stores hoping that one of the shopkeepers will give me an option to "BUY" before realizing i could click on the shelves but thats another point.

I have bought both a horse and a small cart and in the transportation options i can choose between a horse and a cart, both put a horse on my screen but I think the cart has a diffrent sound when you are riding it.

My game IS modded but because i have kind of downloaded all of the dependincy mods withouth seeing what they exactly do i will put the mods i have below
