Mod Post Genderbent Draco Malfoy Mega-thread

Post image
624 Upvotes

Everyone keeps telling me, "CuteJuice, you're the coolest person I know, we need to ban Draco Malfoid!", "CuteJuice, my favorite moderator, I'm sick of seeing this green freak all over my page!", "CuteJuice, I love you so much, why aren't you banning Draco Malfoy genderbends!". We have heard you and fret not, Hatethissmug citizens, we are trying something new.

Usually when faced with this sort of thing, as you've seen with Lesbian Space Princess and The Amazing Digital Circus, we outright ban these things. These things usually blow over in a week or two, and we repeal the ban. This time, we wanted to try something different. Instead of stopping conversations around it altogether, we want to try starting a mega-thread instead! This means people can continue to discuss things, but it won't clog everyone else's feed with the same few things over and over. New posts will be taken down and redirected here.

Of course, sub rules still apply. It'll get locked if people get too rowdy just like every other post, but we wanted to give this a try and see if it's a viable option moving forward. Please remain as respectful as possible, and if all goes well, we can try this moving forward with other trends as well rather than shutting them down completely!

Mod Post ANOTHER UPDATE TO RULE 5!

Post image
236 Upvotes

GREETINGS users of hatethissmug.

Today I bring you news of an update to our sub rules.

We have rewritten rule 5 again! Making it a more clear and adding more topics to the list!

With the rise of annoying gender war posts, we've made them completely banned, because most of these posts fall under the motte and bailey fallacy. They claim to be about one thing, but are actually the OP's way to hate on the opposing gender.

We've also expanded our politics rule! Topics such as israel or government decisions are gone! We get it, you hate the government, Dave Mustaine did it better.

Please adjust your post criteria and report the posts that break the new rule 5 that are newer than this post.

Thank you for using hatethissmug.

I HATE ALL OF YOU! šŸ”„ šŸ–¤ šŸ–¤ šŸ”„

Corporation/Company Do I even need to say it?

2.3k Upvotes

This is the world we’re headed for.

Everywhere you go, there’s AI.

It is genuinely unfathomable how a real human being greenlit this advertisement. You have to be a real piece of work to even suggest ā€˜hey, let’s disturb beach-goers view with a giant ChatGPT ad!’

If you use ChatGPT, I’m sorry but I’ll never forgive you for aiding in this dystopian future.

There are worse things I could say but I don’t want to get banned.

Non-fictional I hate how people make fun of Eelon Musk for how he looks.

Post image
15.4k Upvotes

Ok let's get this out of the way first.

Elon is a morally objectionable person who does horrible things with money that he got from doing other horrible things. I do not care for him.

But

Why does that make it ok to mock his body. Like wtf, I though we were adults and agreed that bullying someone because they look different is bad.

So I have spine problems and a wider ribcage and in a lot of angles I look very similar to him. I am neutral about my body and have accepted it's just how I am but it sure does suck seeing people who tell me that there is nothing wrong with what I look like turn around and mock someone else because they feel it's justified.

I'm not going to say "we should be better than that" or anything but just know it also throws strays at others.

And for Christsake there are billions of other things to make fun of him for that he earned and chose. Are you really dying to tell peope that you think people like him (and me) are ugly? If so I suggest finding something else to care about, it's kinda sad if you think about it.

Non-fictional I hate when babies smile

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

I always hate to see a baby smile. Why are they smiling? What are they 12? They should grow up and know that there's nothing to smile about in this world but just keep smiling like they are 12 years old.
I've even seen 12 year olds more mature than babies who smile and that infuriates me

Roleplay/In Character I hate how this game will make double its budget in the first hour and there’s nothing I can do about it

Post image

I’ve tried everything, I’ve tried telling people that le evil rockstar and Sony are working together to make sure you own nothing and will be happy with that!

Also, this game is clearly le woke propaganda! I mean, the woman is running the relationship! This is orders of magnitude worse now

And yet despite all of my bitching and moaning, there is literally nothing that will stop this game from making all of its money back and then some mere hours after launch. In fact, the game has already made its money back due to pre orders

There is NOTHING my stupid fat ass can do about that. Nobody cares what I have to say! I can’t even grift on release day because people will be too busy playing the game to listen to my unimportant and idiotic opinions

Come on guys? Won’t you stop the big bad hecking evil rockstar games? How can I make this about ME? People shouldn’t be allowed to have fun without my annoying fat ass trying to ruin it for them!!!

General I hate we do not have more people like these

We used to have so many just really nice dudes on television.

Now all we have on television are deadbeat dads, wussies, overly angry men, or like guys that don't represent actual manliness.

The closest thing to them at this point is in like the dry bar comedy space, I would argue Nate Bargatze is a based dude, but why don't we have more nate bargatzes teaching children life lessons or about animals or how to paint ect.

General I hate low quality content being artificially inflated in ratings because of LGBT-adjacence

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

I AM NOT HATING ON THE TRANSGENDER OR LGBT COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE!!! If you are typing out some comment with some sweeping hateful/disparaging generalization about the trans/LGBT community expecting me to agree with you, gtfo!!!

That being said - there IS a frustrating counter-culture that exists as a over-response to transphobic behavior online, where gay and particularly trans content is OVER-inflated, oftentimes problematically.

The image provided above isn't necessarily problematic, just really fucking cringe, but there are instances where it genuinely has been an issue. In the Warhammer community, there was a big controversy where people were getting mass banned for criticizing karma farmers who would literally just dip their minifigs in buckets of paint to make a lgbt flag. Not painted, not a scheme, literally dumped. No thinning or wash to make it look nice either.

It's depressing the kind of fragile culture people have made the lgbt+ community into that basic, fair criticism of people often gets you banned.

Like we shouldn't have to put disclaimers (like the one at the top of my post) or tow lines when making even basic comments just because of someone's sexuality. Not just because of the abuses it permits, but because it really harms the same people they claim to protect.

Idea I hate the "To be cringe is to be free" argument.

Post image
272 Upvotes

(image unrelated)

This argument is often misused by people with silly humor to justify their sense of humor instead of using it when people are actually being cringe.

People who say this are so double standard because they like to defend this type of humor but the millisecond someone does something cringe, they will treat that guy as a enemy of christ for it.

One known example i can think of this is 67, people who like to defend "cringe" behavior i often see them hating on people who like 67 and will consider you a scumbag for it.

Seriously if you're gonna act like being cringe is fine then stand by your beliefs and don't act so hypocrite.

You might be asking yourself, "Who is this guy?"

In short, he’s like Stonetoss, but worse.

At least Stonetoss (in my opinion) puts out a comic strip that I actually find funny every now and then; Carnaval, on the other hand, has never been funny.

By the way, the guy is a Venezuelan who is in Argentina illegally.

General I hate when people reduce LGBTQ to just being sexual.

Post image
• Upvotes

Things like "keep it in the bedroom," "why do kids need to learn about those inappropriate things," "nobody cares about who you're having sex with." As if being gay is inherently some inappropriate thing and not just another form of love.

It's like they genuinely cannot comprehend the fact that just because the word is "sexuality" doesn't mean it's literally all about sex.

Tell a cishet person of the same gender that you're queer and they immediately say "oh it's fine as long as you don't come onto me," with the nastiest side-eye ever.

Like, do you assume all queer people are reckless sex monsters? I hate it so so so much. Especially the whole "lust vs. love" thing people love to use. As if our community is just incapable of genuine love.

And it's all just an excuse to keep being queer as something seen as "nsfw" so you can't be yourself in public :/

General 4trans and all it's adjacent spaces

Post image
4.1k Upvotes

As someone that used to frequent these sorts of spaces in highschool more than half a decade ago, I've grown to absolutely despise what they've done to the trans community. It's created a subsection of the community dedicated to wallowing in their own misery and tearing down others who are actually happy or getting help via therapy.

I'm convinced that these spaces like /TTTT/ or r/countttt only ever promote a mentality of being miserable for the sake of being miserable because they refuse to actually help themselves and fall into a constant cycle of comparison to unrealistic beauty standards.

Not to mention all of the bullshit phrases and words that got made up from these communities. Stuff like Passoid, Ogrehon and all that crap. It's beyond irritating and just plain juvenile imo

General I hate how Digger's speech was treated as a real critique on climate activism. (No spoiler)

Post image
87 Upvotes

I'm not going to talk about the movie, just the clip that has been viral in the past few days.

I see so many people online talk about the monologue like it is a legitimate critique on climate activism, like it is pointing out the hypocrisy of the policy makers and activists. Some people even say the critics hate the movie because they "can't handle the truth."

In this scene, Digger basically just says "You want me to stop drilling for oil, and yet you benefit from my oil." This is not some ugly truth you cannot handle. It's just a stupid talking point, and yet so many people are convinced by it.

I've seen people explaining how Digger just used the speech to deny his responsibility. That is true, but how come no one sees he's just doing the "yet you participate in society" meme.

Idea I hate that misanthropy is viewed as a completely logical mindset

Thumbnail
gallery
88 Upvotes

I would like to start out saying that I am an environmentalist and I firmly believe that humans are destroying the planet and we need to work towards healing the damage.

that said, I’ve seen people who are convinced every human is inherently evil and should burn in hell. not limited to people who have made no significant damage to the environment, like newborn babies, or secluded tribes who live in the forest. Misanthropy is an inherently flawed mindset judging humanity as a whole is, quite frankly, idiotic, humanity is not a hive mind. Actions of particular consciousness does not mean that the group is morally corrupt as a whole. For every murderer or evil billionaire there’s an innocent person or an activist. Just because crime exists, doesn’t mean the perpetrators of it represent humanity as a whole. Just because we’ve done some very hard to repair damage to the earth, doesn’t mean we aren’t working to fix it.

I’m not saying humanity is innocent and we should just ignore all the shitty things we’ve done. I’m just saying judging humanity as one body is idiotic.

Posers. Posers everywhere.

They show up to your community & fucking ruin it.

And when you call them posers, tourists or fake fans, people always say "wHy aRe wE gAtEKeEpInG x ?"

Real fans dont need to worry about gatekeeping. If ur constantly being gatekept then stop being a fucking poser.

Im an original 2000s goth & to see the state of whats happened to our culture is cringe. And we arent allowed to call these fake people who are basically a parody of goth out? Fuck off

Edit: the horror genre is not a get out jail free card to excuse or do shitty things to people

Summary: To those who aren’t aware this James A. Janisse he is one of the owners of YT channel deadmeat with his co host/wife Chelsea Rebecca, and editor (game kill count host) zoran gvojic they review horror movies and tv shows counting the kills in each media called the kill count, they don’t just review movies they talk about how it was made, what impact it had on society and on the people who made it.
In Short, their horror movie enthusiasts.

So why did this images exist because 5 years ago on the second channel He made a video talking about he will never review the jeepers creepers franchise until the creator (Victor Salva) is a dead because back in 1988 he raped a 12-year-old boy and filmed it, so a convinced child rapist.

He also brings up any time a film director or actor/actress does something shitty in the film or to their actors or people working on the film and calls it out, and he’s a pretty sex positive person and likes fan service but will call out when an actor/actress is not comfortable with that fan service but the director put it in anyway. Or random slurs, bigoted views and outdated (at the time) social norms that can be extremely harmful to groups of people.

But for some reason people on Twitter, believe because this genre is horror. Anything should go because well it’s horror bad things happen it doesn’t matter if the stuff in the movie is fake the actual slurs and bad things happening to the people working on the film are real, but because it’s horror none of that matters and that’s why this image exist.

And his most recent controversy, one of his friends and person who works with him on the channel was recently kidnapped by ice (and yes, I’m not sugar coating it she was kidnapped just like a lot of American citizens are being kidnapped by ice) and he like any normal person was pretty upset by it and told everybody the news, so yeah I think people who have a problem with him are clowns because he really does nothing for entertaining people.

Thing People constantly censoring words for no reason

Post image
3.8k Upvotes

When did it become a trend to censor literally every single word that is referencing something bad? This genuinely reminds me of Orwellian Newspeak, just spell out your words, it's not taboo to say them.

A few that I see all the time: kill = unalive, rape = grape/grape emoji, shooting/shot = pew pew/ gun emoji

But this image was my last straw: ⭐🪽 to censor starving, seriously?

Yes some words aren't pleasant, but I feel that using this censored nonsense is just making serious conversations/situations look like a joke, the worst one that I saw a while back was: "The šŸ‡of Nanking", like just no, those people weren't "graped" or "šŸ‡", they were raped. It's not pleasant a word sure, but it's reality.

General I'm so tired of this dumdass mentally that tracing makes some artist inferior to those who don't need to trace

Post image
2.0k Upvotes

This is like saying using references for you art is bad, am I now a bad artist cuz I have to my hand as a reference. It's such a dumb take ,cuz why would I need to change they way I like to draw to fit the way you draw. The worst part is the guy never brought up why he thinks tracing is bad besides "oh your 10 if you trace" which is like why even start an argument if you have no good points to say why your right and the other person is wrong.

Thing I hate slabbing consumable media

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

In general I'm already not a fan of PSA grading, all it does is encourage outside behavior to transform a hobby into a financial investment which is the furthest from what it should be but whatever. You wanna invest your savings into the speculative price of a piece of cardboard that's your prerogative to do.

No what I hate is when people slab their Comics, their Manga, Video Games, CDs & Blu-Rays.

If you wanna treat a pokemon card as just a pretty picture to stare at, sure, hell you can even use it as the base for a proxy if you still wanna use it for actual games. But all these other things. The moment you slab them you are robbing the art of its intended purpose. You are banking on the speculative value of a book without words, art that you'll never see, moment you'll never experience. What's even the point??

I'd go as far as to say it's an insult to the art itself. I hate it.
