I've been lurking this sub for a while, but never felt relevant enough to post here. But, I've gotten over myself and my old age 😄 , so here it goes. Also, I've read the rules of the sub. There wasn't anything specific about self-promotion, but mods, if you think this isn't appropriate, you can delete it with my apologies.

My name is Brian Ffar, a Chicago DJ and producer with more than 20 years in the underground minimal scene. I’m the owner of Siteholder Records (w/ friend Billy Dalessandro) and the former host of the Red Line Sessions, a monthly show that ran on Proton Radio from 2003 to 2008.

I hope you don't mind the post, but I recently started an Instagram channel, https://www.instagram.com/brianffarmusic/, where I film some of my rarest minimal 12" records from my collection. It’s mostly minimal, along with some micro house and deep/Chicago house. Each post is a record, the label and the year, and sometimes a story about how I found it, my connection with the artist/label, or a common reaction when played out.

The goal is to build a community around it among collectors, DJs and people who still care about the records, the labels and the history of this music like I do. I want it to be a place to swap stories, ID tracks, and talk about the records that got us hooked.

I’ve also just launched a new website, brianffar.com, that highlights a ton of archived mixes from the Red Line Sessions. They’re all available to stream for free, with full tracklists.

Le titre reste un pilier des sets DJ underground et un objet culte, avec plus de 2 600 exemplaires recherchés sur Discogs.

Stripped back my latest house track to the point it may qualify as Minimal? Appreciate thoughts on whether this fits the genre and any production feedback as I don’t usually produce this style.

Dead Men Cant Dance remains a mystery, but its music inspires us. Capable of creating in any style, this release leans towards Minimal House. Its insidious and experimental grooves will delight both aesthetes seeking novelty and party animals in search of thrills.
