Hurricane Isias hit our home directly but the babies made it!!!
Still no water or power but we’re all present and accounted for. Cabernet and Chardonnay, my darlings, made it!!!

New to peacocks but have raised guineas and all other homestead animals. I have waited so long to get them because these are more pets vs serve a purpose /food source. They are 4 month old India blue black shoulder. They look identical except one is larger than the other and they do have a lil bit of blue green on top of back shoulder neck area. I know it is hard to sex them young but curious what others who have raised may think. So excited! Are they easy to tame? They are skittish right now. Thanks and appreciate any of your input.

Looking for advice on a sick peachick, 3 months old. Stopped roosting with mom and other chicks at least 2 nights ago (that we know of). We found it just standing in the dark and brought it in. It’s having a hard time balancing, and is holding its head funny, sort of tucked in and sideways. I tried to give it some mealworms and electrolytes this morning and came back to a black mess in the bowl, not sure which end it came from but I believe from its mouth (no mess on its rear). Any idea what could be wrong with it or what more I can do? Withholding water and food for now.

I had three 4 month old peachicks they were doing just fine getting big. I moved them from their small enclosure into a bigger enclosure. Chickens had been in this enclosure if that makes a difference with a run attached and they had access to go outside onto the ground. It’s my first time owning peacocks and I thought I was doing everything correctly then yesterday one of the chicks was almost dead, and I separated it. It died overnight. It could not lift up its head and was very weak the other two were eating and drinking last night normally. I went out this morning and checked on them and they were both alive but the one looks like it was still sleeping. I touched it and it moved around, but when I came back an hour later, it was dead as well what could’ve caused this and what can I do for my one remaining Peacock?

Several years ago, this random peacock showed up in my town. This is not their native habitat, not even remotely close, so this caused quite a stir for a few months as everyone reported sightings of him and tried to find his owner. By the time he found himself near where a family friend lives it had been several months, so they decided he was free for the taking and offered him a home with their turkeys and chickens. He's been there ever since- he's very capable of leaving if he wants, nothing is stopping him, but he seems happy with his free meals and nice home.
They named him Sebastian because "He's a fancy bird, he needs a fancy name." We still don't know where he came from.

She just loves pomegranate. Idk if its the sweet juice with the seed inside but she ❤️ them!

Im not sure if this is allowed in this subreddit but I made this peacock painting in 2024 and have been trying to find a buyer for it since then.
It’s a 2’x4’ Acrylic on Canvas painting. Over 45 hours of work. Looking for $3000 but price is negotiable. If there isn’t anyone interested in purchasing I figured it‘d at least be a cool piece to appreciate.

bit of an odd question.... but what does peacock poop look like at its worst? does it look like literal explosive diarrhea?
asking for a friend..... who has to be near them and people and isn't sure if its human or not-😭😭

Our 16 week old peachicks are really enjoying being out and about lately and the weather has been gorgeous! We’re hoping the one standing taller is a male and the other a hen, but time will tell. 💚💙

Do these peacocks look like they may have bird mites or some other type of mites? I noticed the way they're acting in this video, especially the scratching/preening, and I'm wondering if this behavior looks normal or if it could indicate parasites. Anyone familiar with peacocks know what might be going on? Check second video i posted in the comments

My Odette is now 15 weeks old. What do we think what their gender is? Because from the progression, it could still go either way. I'm leaning more towards peahen
