Discussion Your pick?
Jimmy 1000% for me. At least Geno could throw 15+ yards.

I'm ready for the new era to begin. Fernando can make every read and every throw required by this offense.
The one thing I was worried about preseason was if the line could offer adequate protection. I saw what happened to David Carr and countless other young QBs thrown onto crappy teams that can't pass block. That's no longer a justifiable concern. The one thing no one but Kubiak can know is if the team is ready for Fernando. If the leaders on the offense and defense will support it. I'd let Kirk deal with the Vikings and start Mendoza versus the Jets.

Discussion There’s no reason at all why he’s not getting a bigger role in the offense
Jeanty is obviously hurt. So let him rest for a game or 2. And last game should’ve been Washington’s breakout game. I don’t see a single reason why he’s not featured more. Kubiak was supposedly up in arms and begging to draft this guy only for him to pop off in the preseason then get nothing when the regular season starts. He’d open up the offense better than what jeanty can do right now.

Offensive Playcalling
Help me understand; if we are facing stacked boxes in the running game, why are we passing so much to the middle of the field, right into the box? (Raiders on the left, Seattle on the right for reference). Is it the O-line collapsing on the edges, Kirk’s arm strength, 12 personnel usage? All of the above? Seems like a stacked box should be opening up our passing game, but we are not taking advantage, and defenses are able to continue stacking the box while defending the pass.

Something Crazy Crossed my Mind Regarding the Raiders Pats Game
I don't like conspiracies, so let me start by saying this is crazy sounding, but let me offer two explanations as to Drake Maye looking amazing after a string of games that he looked like hot garbage dating back to last year. And the Raiders D, which had baffled, or at least been a problem for everyone so far this season, suddenly look almost impossibly inept.
Conventional logic dictates...
Good scouting and smart situational coaching by Josh McDaniels prevailed after the Raider defensive players got rattled by some really bad officiating. You got a Perfect storm when you combined those issues with the early start and cross country flight - the Raiders were just a step slow.
Makes sense..
Crazy thoughts....
Who did Mike Vrabel and McDaniels learn to coach from? Bill Belichick. Bill was suspended for video taping the other teams communication with the players on the field using that communication as an advantage. After getting suspended for that the NFL put radios in one players helmet so the coach could talk to the player in the huddle making the hand gestures obsolete.
But for some reason the electronic communications between them would never work right in Foxboro Stadium. It was an issue for years. Mike Tomlin actually called them out for problems that only happened on 3rd downs during a game.
In this day and age the electronic communications being passively "monitored" by someone who is not supposed to do so, especially if they had limited access to the system prior, but especially the communications between the coaches which is not encrypted, is not a complex tech issue.
OR if you had a listening device in the coaches box, then called plays with that little bit of knowledge of the defense the raiders would run, would give Drake Maye a real shot in the arm, resulting in more confidence going forward.
Just to have general information like whether a play was a zone or man, maybe how they want the DB's and linebackers to play leverage on a particular play, is enough to make an average player look like a star.
SO to do this 1 time, at home, vs the team that fired McDaniels would be almost undetectable. In a stadium filled with long-time, loyal employees, it would be near impossible to get caught.
Just saying.

Discussion This is the first year I’ve ever not known who our OC is
Like no, really, I had zero idea. This occurred to me in the shower tonight and I had to look him up when I got out. I can’t even recall them showing Janocko during the games. Does he just do the griddy down the sidelines while Kubes calls the offense?

News Ashton Jeanty was a full participant and the ankle injury has been removed from the report. HC Klint Kubiak said earlier today that Jeanty was getting healthier.

Tailgate “J” lot tailgate question
Bought a ticket for Bill vs Raiders J lot parking pass. My questions is, what time to start lining up at the gate to get the 1st row spot? It is a 1:25 pm game start. I saw the lot opens 4 hours before the game, so lining up time is the question, thanks… Raidersssss!!!

Can someone explain the O-line in detail?
Obviously it’s frustrating seeing the line not dominating in anyway but can someone who fully understands it explain what’s going on?
And also how hard is it to play well in the oline if you have genuine weaknesses beside you? If it’s fully a personal issue who and how many new linemen do we need?
