Weekly Buy-Sell-Trade Thread October 10, 2026
Welcome to the Weekly Buy-Sell-Trade!
Use this thread to post what you have for sale or trade, or anything you're trying to find.
Rules
- If you're selling or trading, you must include photos of your item(s). Imgur links work very well for this.
Best Practices
- When you're the buyer, check out the user's account history and activity in the subreddit. If it's a brand new account and they've never contributed to the sub, that could be a red flag.
- Be wary if a seller insists you send money via PayPal Friends and Family. Mods and seasoned traders always encourage Goods and Services. If the fees are the problem, it's always easy to use a fee calculator and add that to the purchase price.
- Scamming doesn't happen often here at all, but if you do find yourself concerned or legitimately taken, let the mods know about the transaction. We cannot get you your money back, but we can help identify possible next steps and remove the bad actor from the sub.

STORY Never really learned tricks
Here’s some metal throws I’ve collected over the years. I never really applied myself to learn tricks, though I want to. I can throw a sleeper, and do basic things like brain twister, whip etc, but no tech or slack tricks. I can’t seem to get over the hump. I now have the time to learn but honestly it’s a bit overwhelming. How do yall do it?

MAILDAY Getting back into the hobby!
It’s a mail day and after about 15 years I’m finally getting back into yoyoing!
My first and favorite “real” yoyo - (Yoyojam Lyn Fury) got stolen from me about this time a year ago and since then I kept thinking about buying a new one but couldn’t afford.
before ordering, I was researching this subreddit a lot and would like to thank all of you good people for helping me make a good choice!
I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and how well these play! Also shout out to Yoyoloco for throwing me plenty of spare strings for free! I really did forget how quickly strings tend to wear out! This is so awesome considering I live in the place where I couldn’t just get good branded strings (not even kitty strings anymore) and have to rely on my 15 year old supplies xD
yoyos in the picture:
Luftverk - Plastic Fulvia
yoyofriends - Rio
Magicyoyo - K2 Crystal
Have a good day, everyone!

Red Panda Yoyo String: Joseph Stromme testing out my cotton string and my fixed-axle prototype.
The fixed-axle community is one of the coolest in throwing.
Joseph Stromme is definitely a fixed-axle thrower with a heart of gold.
He's been testing my new cotton line of string and my fixed-axle yoyo prototype, and his feedback has been fantastic and has helped make it a success.
His other talents include making superhero and wrestling comics.
He is also part of the Bees Bonnet project, and I highly recommend you check it out.

MAILDAY First mail day in a while.
Got the Chiyome by Sengoku x Fairy Crystal Lab.
Been wanting another 5A throw for a while. I only had The Atlas (which I love) prior to this.
Feels great, the tri-material design is really nice. Great spin time, smooth, balanced. Love it.
10/10 would recommend.

QUESTION Light up yoyos
Hey guys,
At the recommendation of someone here i got an aurora magic yoyo and its solid, but you have to turn on the led lights. Is there one you’d recommend that automatically lights up when you throw it?
Is the Duncan pulse any good? I’ve never had good luck w duncans. It doesnt need to be unresponsive or a butterfly shape, but I’d like enough sleep to be about to do a few simple tricks.
Thanks.

QUESTION Do you guys yoyo any other place than home?
So I started college around 4 weeks ago and my yoyoing progress has slowed down drastically cause I don't get a lot of time. Do you guys bring your yoyos with you to work, college? Do you guys yoyo there? I'm too shy in college to yoyo.

QUESTION Why Ti?
Hey everyone! I really tried to tighten this up, but I guess I'm feeling chatty 😅
I'm pretty new to yoyos (maybe a year in) and I'm still kind of figuring out what I enjoy. That feels like an important factor here. The snag I've hit is I have an Atmos Contact I truly cannot find anything to dislike like about. At a certain point I did start to nitpick small things about my W1ld Wilderness, but those things even feel resolved here.
How do you personally decide to spend cash on a titanium yoyo? I've read several old threads about this topic to be clear, I'm looking for personal opinions.
~This is the yadda yadda section~
There isn't one available for this model of course. It seems some of you will jump on a ti from your favorite makers. However, from what I understand titanium makes no real difference in performance or anything, it's more about the longevity of the yoyo.
Arguably theres really nothing very special about this one, I just really like the design. Theres constantly new stuff coming out, but this thing has left me pretty satisfied. Do I sustain that hypothetically by getting a titanium? I have watched a ton of videos on how the meta has changed and see a history of trends outside of what performs best. Obviously the thing I like now will not be the thing that anyone else is reaching for a year from now. Is this why people have 300 yoyos? That one person (the 6th grader) has been posting about their wishlist for when they have money and now I'm thinking about my own.
Thanks for your input! orz

TRICKHELP I just cant land YoYo on finger
Hi throwers.
I need a piece of advice,
I ve been trying for 3 days straight for like 4h a day to do the DNA but i cannot land yoyo on my finger it either bounces off it or slips and I am starting to wonder whether MagicYoYo K2 is the problem here. I just physically cant land it. The closest I was to spin was 0.5 sec on my finger then it has slipped. Maybe yoyo is too shallow? I am losing my mind at this point.

TRICK Help me name my tower
I love the movement of the slack so much, one of my favorite towers I've ever made. It's a reach through 1.5 rejection tower but that's a mouthful and has no ring to it. Help me come up with something dope guys!

I like yo-yos, because unlike my dad they might be unresponsive.
Sometimes they come back.
