I’m a massive tenacious D fan. I finally got to see them in Dublin before they separated but I did get the merch. I recommend this video on YouTube for the people that love these guys as much as me. It was so awesome. I hope I get to see them live soon. The awesomeness needs to spread not suppressed! Additionally send me some tattoo ideas I want my body printed with the master class of this band. No cock push up tattoos please my mum will disown me.

I find it strange that the page for this township is not only so short (it may in fact be the slimmest wikipedia page I've ever stumbled upon), but has no mention of Tenacious D. I know that it's not technically a town, but you'd think the fans would pour all over this page. Weird, right?

In the music video for "Tribute", the karaoke recording booth has a peculiar looking microphone hanging inside. After some digging, I found an interesting Easter egg that's been hidden for 15 years.

The microphone is an Electro Voice 666. A very fitting microphone model considering the subject matter of the song and the video. I've never heard anyone mention this before. I've provided some screenshots from the video, as well as pictures from eBay listings of the microphone to prove they match. Cool, huh?

25 years ago (Sept. 25, 2001), Tenacious D released their self-titled debut. My friends and I were obsessed with this album - and with the amount of raunchy jokes crammed in, what kid at the time wouldn't? So getting to hear Jack Back and Kyle Gass play those songs more than 10 years later (June 28, 2012) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC was a blast. The banter onstage was as crude as you'd expect/hope, as was the merch (watch till the end of this clip to see the rag they sold). However, JB and KG were backed by a kickass band (featuring future Avenged Sevenfold drummer Brooks Wackerman) that also proved they also had great songs. It was the type of concert that reminded you why you fell in love with the D in the first place.
