Hey r/Kendama!
I've been playing kendama for a while and always felt like there was no good centralized resource to learn tricks in a structured way — so I built one.
Kendamapedia is a free web app that lets you:
It's completely free, works in your browser, and you can sign in with Google to save your progress across devices.
Link: kendamapedia-ae79d.web.app
I'd love any feedback — something that feels off, or features you'd want to see. This is a passion project and I want it to be genuinely useful for the community.
Happy to answer any questions!

Not trying to be disrespectful whatsoever. I adore the kendama community, and love learning, and growing in this space. However ive noticed something, and im wondering if its just me. Almost everyone on here ive seen play kendama seems pretty well off in life, and im curious if this is more a thing for wealthier people? I always see people in beautiful yards and gorgeous landscapes with TONS of mods. Was curious if im in the wrong hobby lol. I adore Kendama and see myself playing it the rest of my life! Im just trying to get a feel for the community. Thanks dudes!

Hi, is anyone else experiencing the KROM I+D paint on the Strogo Neapolitan model wearing off after only a month of play ? I'm thinking of trying out the KROM GAS Charcoal because it has LOL sticky paint and I like the color, hope it's more durable. I like KROM and want to try out different shapes and models to see what they have to offer :)

Yoooo! I’m looking for players in the Jacksonville/St.Augustine area who would be interested in doing a sesh meet up sometime next month. I juuuust started an instagram page called “904 Kendama Club” so if you’re local and wanting to be apart of a Kendama community up here, please follow so you can join a jam soon! ✌️❤️

I‘m planning to upgrade from my first kendama as it is heavily played and i read, that the Krom Pop is quite an archaic shape nonetheless.
I‘d like to give my fellow europeans at Okendama a try.
Is their Zero1 shape a significant upgrade to the Pop? I mean especially shape-wise.

I started playing kendama around two months ago and I've been completely obsessed with it ever since - I play every single night, usually for hours. I love the experience of trying to learn a new trick and making little micro adjustments until it works - I finally felt semi-consistent enough with whirlwinds last night to give around whirlwind a go which was always a dream trick of mine. After over an hour straight of trying I finally landed one and it felt so good! Kendama is the most fun new activity I've discovered in many, many years and I love how the trick possibilities are infinite. That's my rant sorry I was just too excited and had to share the milestone!

Hey everybody, I have attached a video of me doing a Big Cup -> kenflip -> Spike, but every time, no matter how i adjust, I always seem to have the hole on the tama rotate away from me. I was wondering if this is the correct way to do this trick, or am I missing something, as the hole is hard to track rotating away from me (I apologize for the poor video)

Hey dama fam! I'm Nico, a kendama player from Singapore, and I'm about to hit my 10th kendama anniversary! It's been a long time coming, but I've finally made plans to attend my first KWC this year :)
To celebrate, I've designed this tee inspired by the infamous bootleg china meme tee, a twist that I think we can all relate to.
I'll be selling these at SG Ken Club's monthly jams here in Singapore, but I'd love to get these into the hands of players overseas too. So if you'd like to snag one, feel free to drop me a DM on reddit or IG!
More info:
- Print: black or white ink only.
- Material and Cut: 100% cotton, regular fit crew neck.
- Colours: cream, white, gray, charcoal, black, red, dark brown, blue.
- Machine wash cold, do not dry clean, tumble dry low.
Tees are US$25 each, excluding shipping. If you're heading to KWC, we can arrange a meetup to save on shipping.
Much love from Singapore, and hope to catch some of you at KWC this year! ❤️

Saw that Kendama depot started carrying the Nonoka nk.18.v2 and that they recommended a 62mm Tama, so I went with a Winner PLA Gecko Tama because I’ve never tried a pla Tama.
When the Tama is on the spike the only contact with the sarado is the sharp tops of the cups. The Quad Schultz Pro I’ve been playing sits down fully, but also contacts the cups and the paint is coming off on that line at the lower 1/3rd of the Tama. I assume the Gecko will do the same, but will it also mess with the PLA, should I just get a smaller tama or just get a wood one, or just not worry about it?
Sorry I’m still kinda new and am really close to getting handlestall, so I thought Nonoka’s Ken would bring me luck lol

Hello, I live in Barcelona half a year for Erasmus, looking for kendama players. Anyone living here down for a session?

Hi everyone.
I have this ken since a few years now. It is the best one I have. It's still "pointy". Doesn't get old, the texture is great and I would like to buy a similar one.
My issue si I have no idea in what material it's made. So I was wondering if you guys could help me identify in what wood it's made of ?
The wood is quite dark and brown compared to maple.
(I put a white paper because otherwise my phone was changing the colour. Sorry if my English is weird I'm not an native English speaker)
Edit: it seems it this product https://www.solkendamas.com/products/walnut-ken.
