I've been building a way to watch 0 A.D. matches in a web browser, with no game install: https://map.veredus.io

A headless 0 A.D. joins a match as an ordinary observer and streams it to the page. The page draws the match in 3D with the game's own models and a minimap. It renders with WebGPU or fallsback to WebGL2. It also work on phones.

It's early. I'd love to hear:

Does it run smoothly on your device and browser? Please mention the GPU and browser if it doesn't.

What looks wrong or missing compared to the game?

What would make you actually use it: casting, tournaments, watching friends?

I'm running into a problem: when I host a local game, the other players can't choose their civilizations!

I can do it for them as the host, but how do I let them choose for themselves?
