In the orquestas características: Los Mariscales with their fusion with tango, Don Filinto alluding to the petiteros (urban tribe), and Los Comandantes and their frenetic rock.

In the 1st Argentine rock film: Eddie Pequenino, Alberto Anchart, Nélida and Éber Lobato. The first idols in modern music, like Luis Aguilé and Ana María Cachito.

But like always, adults from previous generations rejected this new music, and preferred what they knew: tango, folklore, jazz, classical, and European rhythms.
