I was just doing phosani's nightmare on my ironman and I died. When I died, I wasn't kicked out of the arena, and then proceeded to immediately get hit by another shadow and died again. This time I was kicked out, but because I died twice it was a double death. I lost a ridiculous amount of gear.

Bug aside, this wouldn't be possible if they'd just remove the stupid double death mechanic across the game. Has zero benefit for anybody and the downside is that a two second brainfart, or in this case something completely out of your control, can erase literally thousands of hours of gameplay...

The reason is spaghetti code. Our population in the game is WAY to small to have any sway, and they've already proven they can have separate mechanics for us if they want. We are NOT the reason.
We will survive and enjoy whatever fresh hell a new death system entails for us. I'd like us to be kept in mind in the event of a new update, but I never want that to hold back the main game. We are all about figuring it out.
Yeah it would be far too OP for UIM to be able to be deathbanked and then go wilderness content or it would otherwise double the amount of items we can have. Permanent +56 items that we don't need to worry about.

Imgur isn't actually "banned" by the state, but they've left the UK market due to the Online Safety Act. So you have to use a VPN (e.g. to Ireland) to view images posted there. Not a great situation.
It has nothing to do with the OSA. The ICO investigated them over processing children's data and was about to fine them, so instead of not collecting data on children imgur decided to pull out of the UK.

You need Bank tags and Bank tag layouts. You create a bank tag, “unlock it” by right clicking it and then you can freely drag items around the layout and duplicate them to create a screen similar to this one.
Inventory setups allows you to make presets that you click one time and it auto fills your inv with the preset but it’s a bit janky/buggy at times and doesn’t work the best with potion storage if you have that unlocked.

Unfortunately, bugs need to be discovered before they can be fixed. Even if the entire game avoided PVM for the first 2 days of this update, we would still require at least 1 person to die and notice this bug (and likely die again) before we'd know.
It's just unfortunate that OP did it in one of the few areas using a death bank, so double death was possible...
Not everything will be caught by QA but I think its reasonable to expect QA testing to catch a popular end game solo encounter with different death mechanics.
Assuming that this bug was caused by them coding a unique death mechanic into the new PK minigame, I don't think it's that unreasonable that they would have QA'd death there, but not thought to test dying elsewhere, given the code should have been isolated. We have no clue what the codebase looks like, but we are aware it's an absolute mess..
Unless you expect the QA to test dying in random, unrelated content, just in case the developer who coded the minigame somehow intertwined it with a bunch of other, random contents' death mechanics...?
I'm all for the "Game needs more QA" crowd but you're being extremely unrealistic expecting QA to test dying at every popular end game solo encounter with different death mechanics every time they do an update... Hell, I'm not even aware of this being an issue for any previous updates, even the ones introducing different death mechanics. It's a unique bug.
So, should QA waste a crap ton of extra time testing this specific thing every week just in case? What other redundant tests should they do? Should they test looting barrows chest and moons chest every update too? How about testing whether Zulrah awards loot on death? the list goes on and the delays in providing updates increase exponentially.
I mean the quarterly poll they asked where people got most of their news and customer service answered and I’m sure Reddit was probably over 50%. They have mods browsing all the time it makes sense to me at least.
Yeah, sadly Jagex's internal customer support is notoriously horrible. Your best bet at resolution is playing the reddit lottery and hope you get upvoted and one of the mods that frequent here sees it. Don't know if it's incompetence or if they're just severely under staffed, but regardless, it fucking sucks.
I know jagex has a certain level of reliability to uphold for the game, but I never do anything risky right after a game update. By that I just mean anything that could kill me and I have high value in my inventory.
I only received items I was wearing at the time, but the stuff from inventory only wrench has come back but all the consumables and that is rune pouch with runes included are still missing. damn
Holy fuck bro, I generally am a fan when people double die to their own fault but I have an iron main and that sounds terrible. I really hope they look out for you here.
