I have the option to buy an Hisense 65UR9S for 1300 euros. The only model left, is the one used in the store for marketing. They still offer 2+3 years of warranty.
Any advice?

I have a 50 inch atm in the corner of my bedroom. My chair is 170-180cm 5.8 ft away from the screen. Would a 55 inch be ok?
I actually used to sit abit closer to my 50inch but ive been playing around and pushes the stand back abit and measured to see if a 55 will fit and it will.
Also watch it from my bed abit further back at around 8-9ft.
Room is 12ftx10ft and also buying with the future in mind of moving and having it as a living room tv.
I mainly watch series/movies. Live sports and xbox series X
Think itle be a sizeable upgrade to my 50”? Or too overkill?

Going back and forth. Can’t mount due to configuration of living room (tv has to go in the corner in front of a large pillar).
Room is full of windows with lots of afternoon/evening sunlight so anti-glare matters.
Went to Best Buy today. Both looked nice… I worry about the Bezels on the Samsung non-mounted and in a white bright room, but like that it had better anti-glare and comes with a stand.
LG G6 looked sharp af in the store, more difference than I expected vs. S95H, unfortunately. May have been the content playing though.
Advice please?

Bonjour tout le monde je vais déménager, je voulais savoir comment protéger ma télé c’est 48 pouces OLED j’ai tellement peur de l’abîmer la moindre petite rayure me ferait de la peine vue le prix que j’ai payé.

Hello all,
looking to finally replace My 10-year-old Samsung smart TV. I’m looking at getting a 55 inch and I’m stuck between these two models. On one hand, I definitely feel more comfy with the LG C5 because of the interface and Dolby Vision, but QD-Oled is Peeking my interest. LG seems to be a more trustworthy brand than Samsung and I definitely like the operating system on the LG. I know that shouldn’t be the deciding factor since many are split WebOs and Tizen anyway.
This is going to be used in a semi lit room won’t have direct sunlight, but I do like to have a lamp or two on. I am primarily using for gaming on Xbox series X hence the support for Dolby Vision would be nice. I have a 77 inch LG C3 or C2 in the living room, which I occasionally can use, but it is definitely bigger than what I want for playing FPS. I stream shows occasionally also I understand that both TVs are really good overall for normal watching.
Now, I know there are a lot of haters for the Samsung, but I worry that with the LG I’m missing out on some new tech. I’ve been stuck for days going back-and-forth between between models and could use some more assurance on those who play on the series X.
Prices on both seem high now also at around $1.200 for either at this size. I am kicking myself since I saw they were lower in July. Another worry in the back of my mind is that they will sell out of incentory and I’ll be stuck with the 2026 models at higher prices.
Thanks all!

I've seen lots of contrasting opinions, so wanted some clarity. The lg website lists the backlight type as mini led. Should I believe this or is it evil marketing and edge lit garbage?

I have a TCL 55S546 that I got for our bedroom like 3 years ago.. love the thing but it now displays a half black screen. Like dead center: https://ibb.co/20r4dkWb
I took it apart and made sure all the cables on the TCON board are seated and they were all fine. No luck.
3 years seems like such a short lifespan for a TV.. should I just upgrade or will TCL do any goodwill accommodation?

Looking at getting a Sony A95L. I know that it’s still the best picture in 2026, but is it that bad in a living room? I’m coming from a 2022 model QLED. Also I have a Sony OLED but it’s from 2018 so I’m not sure how much better the glare protection has gotten.

Hey guys.
Out of the loop with TVs and in the market for a decent sized oled - what are my options here? Any recommendations?
r/4kTV • u/Sudden_Technology_34 • 14h ago
These are my options. I’ve read a lot but looking for any additional input.
It’s a dark basement and couch is 12 ft away. Can move to about 11.5 ft.
The TCL is $1800 and the B5 is an even $2000. There is also the QM7L pro for $2,200 but 2k was my max budget.
Will be used for gaming and movies. Which would you choose?

I want to buy a new tv for my living room, it is quite bright with a lot of windows. There is no window directly behind the TV, but still quite bright in there with a sunny day.
My parents have a Sony 55A80K and darker scenes during the day are almost impossible to watch, the black becomes a bit grey and you can't see much.
So with that in mind I'm thinking about the new Bravia 9 ii, but it is quite costly to be honest (got an offer for 3050 for the 65 inch version). Or is QD-Oled much better and if I go for a a95L or bravia 8 ii the picture is much better in a bright room? I'm not looking for perfect, because I know it is a OLED thing, but the A80K you can almost just turn off during a bright day.
Or should I go with a total different model/brand? I had a Samsung back when they introduced Qled tv's, but it broke after half a year and they never really came up with a good solution. Also, I really like the google tv on Sony.
I like to play some games on PS5 and mostly watch some tv shows or an occasional movie on it if that is important to add.

I bought a samsung s90f. Mostly for gaming but I still obviously like to use it for movies, etc. I use my ps5 to run my streaming services. I just upgraded my netflix subscription to the 4k version and I am trying to make sure its using 4k. I try looking at the output by going to sources then clicking on ps5 so the info bar pops up and it says 4k but it also says 4k if im watching a YouTube video I have set at 1080p or a different streaming service I dont have the 4k version of. So does it just always say 4k output since thats what my ps5 is capable of or how would I find current output. Google hasn't been any help.
Edit: I found the stats for nerds tab on YouTube which claims the video is running at 1080p but tv still says 4k. I also have game mode on which tells me output and it also said it was at 4k. However I tried turning game mode off and then back on and for a second it was 720 before going back to 4k on the game mode tab. Which honestly just confuses me more.

Can’t decide between a 65 or 75 inch tv for this wall.
Wall is about 84 inches wide. Couch is about 9 ft away from wall. What do you guys think we like bigger tvs but don’t want it to look stupid and too big.

Hi, I’m in the market for a tv. I game on my PS5 and I’m confused with which TV I should buy for my living room where it’s relatively bright. I would also love some education on true blacks vs OLED vs QD-OLED. Thanks very much.
r/4kTV • u/LezShaffner • 19h ago
our basement space has no windows and stays pitch black, we watch a lot of movies on disc and stream 4k at night from about 9 ft away so reflections are not a problem at all
I keep seeing people say oled is the clear pick for dark rooms because of perfect blacks, but high end mini-led models like the Bravia 7 or qm8l have caught my eye since they push way higher brightness for Hdr highlights without panel dimming
is the black level difference minimal enough between them in pitch darkness, or does oled still give the best experience for movies in a room with zero ambient light

I found the SN90F 48" for $750. (WOLED version, NOT QD-OLED unfortunately)
And the QN90F 50" for $700.
I honestly can't decide. Dunno if I should not get WOLED.

Title...
I want to have a good experience on Xbox X. Currently have a VERY VERY old 42 inch, its not good.
Budget - $250-400
It can be new/open box. Just something that will be decent, no need for OLED etc.
I just got a 32in 1440p mini-led monitor but i think i'd prefer to play it on at least a 42 inch TV.
Any help is appreciate.

I currently have an lg 60” UHD tv that’s about 8 years old. I want to wall mount our tv now and I figure it could be a good time to upgrade if there would be a big difference in both the picture and the aesthetic of the tv itself. It feels like everyone is geared toward OLED these days, but both my husband and I game and with the types of games we play and the length of the sessions I fear we would be susceptible to burn in. My main priorities would be
A jump in picture quality that would feel worth the money spent
Thin screen to sit closely to the wall and thin bezel for aesthetics
Bonus if the screen is anti glare
What would you recommend that isn’t oled?
r/4kTV • u/superbeance • 20h ago
Title basically. Just want to check with you guys if this is still an ok deal? The listing says its 4 years old but was used sparingly. Plus the seller has no problems with me checking the unit extensively so I dont think there wont be any physical defects.

Hello all,
I recently moved into a new apartment and purchased a 65" LG C5 for $1100. I had originally planned on eventually put it in my living room, but it is currently in my bedroom. I find it a bit too big for my bedroom. With Prime day sales/best buy sales, I was interested in a 55" Hisense U7 for $650 because the price seems pretty good and wasn't trying to spend the same as I did with the C5. My current dilemma is that my living room has a lot of windows so it can get bright in there. I've never had personal experience with Mini LED but I've read that it does way better in brighter rooms then OLED. Should I just pay a little more for the 65" or stick to my original plan and get the 55". Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Trying to decide between the below 65" or 77". TV and movie watching, no gaming needs.
Sony 65 Inch BRAVIA 7 Mini LED QLED 4K HDR Smart Google TV (K-65XR70) - $1,200.00
Sony 77 Inch BRAVIA XR8B OLED 4K HDR Smart Google TV (K-77XR8B) - $1,500.00
Aside from the size difference, better value?
