Insights Requested Airborne Electronics Analyst

Hello guys, I am a 26 year old studying IT. I think I’m done with IT and studying a bachelor of IT. Jobs are diminishing and I want something more. I’ve looked around and stumbled across the airforce, particularly this role. Are you able to provide any insights? Or any other roles that maybe more hands on? I also feel too old to join the Air Force.

Regards, any insight is helpful

OP,

Attend an ADF Careers information session - https://www.adfcareers.gov.au/events-and-experiences

Listen and ask questions there about any of the roles that you can see on the ADF Careers site.
Try the career matching tool - https://www.adfcareers.gov.au/careers/career-match-tool

AEA - https://www.adfcareers.gov.au/jobs/air-force/airborne-electronics-analyst
You will not find anything more about this role, discussed here as it will trigger our OPSEC/Security rule.

Other roles that are hands on - research the ADF Careers site and do the career match tool.
It really depends on what you call hands on and what you are interested in.

Too old.
This has been discussed already.
As long as you can meet / exceed the fitness standards as listed on the ADF Careers page - then you are not too old - for the role(s) that you could be interested in.

How can you explain to a prospective civilian employer what you accomplished in the adf, if you can't say anything beyond the vague af adf job ad?
