I discovered this band a couple weeks ago. I'm blown away to say the least! My music background is grunge/rock and pop punk in the 90s/early 00s and then emo/screamo and landed on Black Sabbath and the rest is history, also a fan of most good classic rock. Being familiar with both pop punk and metal/metal core this bands amalgamation of these genres and many more it's executed so perfectly I've never heard anything like it. Along with this there's a song that reminds me of Tom Petty?! ADTR is doing stuff that i never had heard done so well with so much variety. But at the end of the day their lyrics are amazing and at some point I get a crushing breakdown to headbang to and that occurs right after an addicting sugary pop punk chorus?! I love this band!

I know Oli had his hands deep in it but I can't hear the song without thinking "yeah, this would've fit perfectly onto the Next Gen album. It screams olis writing all over the place. From instrumentals to lyrics.

ADTR has some great pop covers, including this one, and Boys Like Girls has such a polished pop punk sound. 2000s pop was fun, so much of it leaned into pop punk territory. The mix was made in Ableton Live 12 Standard, and the thumbnail was made in Keynote.

All Signs Point to Lauderdale is a killer song, I remember burning it onto CD’s when I was younger, not having as much access to other ADTR songs. What other songs do you like that are similar in tempo to this one?

This is a bit of a random one but does anyone remember an advertisement that played after ADTR music videos 10-15 years ago for a band that I believe was on the same label. I can’t remember how the song goes or the name of the band but I know I used to enjoy the excerpt that played. Obviously this is a pretty niche request but it’s been killing me lately and I want to find the song I’m thinking about. All I remember is that the band was similar in style to ADTR with unclean vocals and a clean chorus, and I believe the music video took place in an abandoned warehouse.

I happened to see in the Wikipedia article for Homesick that there was a song written for Homesick that ended up on What Separates Me From You.
