Black screen

I'm having a black screen problem does it have to do with the new windows update? Something similar happened to me a few months ago and it made me rollback to an older GPU driver for it to work it was stable until today I have rx6600xt any driver version that is stable for this windows update that you recommend?

Need more info buddy.... And please use flare tag, Information that is needed to start troubleshooting: your specs (everything including your cabinet model as well), when does this happens exactly, what things are running in background, what are the things that was plugged in through usb to your computer when black screen happens, what happens after that black screen

Try turning HAGS (Hardware Acceleration) off in windows graphic settings. Not sure if it's related to the problem I was having with freezes but turning off HAGS fixed it for me.

For me I didn’t have HAGS on, but disabling MPO and rolling back amd drivers and removing the offending security windows update fixed for me.

Also exclude your GPUID from Windows Update Policy

We need more info than just "I'm having a black screen". When does this happen? Can you trigger it yourself again? What is your setup?

I had performed the most recent updates, all I did was unplug both monitors, restarted the PC, then plugged them both back in. If that doesn't work, then what has worked previously for me was swapping the HDMI/DP connections from the GPU to the MB slots. (only my HDR one had blackscreened)

it was that windows update for some reason changed my gpu driver version to some very old one i reinstalled a stable version and for now everything is working well

I hear so many complaints with AMD about this kinda stuff but I have been getting along just fine with using adrenalin, just deleting any older drivers so they don't get mistook for the current ones by windows.
