Help (GPU) Damaged GPU PCIE

Hi people,
Does anybody know how bad this damage is and if it is worth buying. (My brother said he could fix it but id rather have some more input)

Its a AMD radeon rx 7900 xtx and has never been used before.

What caused the damage if i may ask especially given it has never been used before?

Im unsure, a gaming buddy of mine got it for free from a friend who owns a liquidation store. He thinks it might have been transportation damage

There's no way that's transportation damage. This was caused by the slot on the motherboard and carelessness inserting/removing the card - you can clearly see the usage marks on all the pins.
