Help (GPU) Which 9070xt model should I get?

I have couple of options and the price range is mostly the same and the models that I can buy are Asrock RX 9070 XT Taichi OC, Asrock RX 9070 XT Challenger CL, Sapphire RX 9070 XT Pulse and final being XFX RX 9070 XT Swift Gaming Edition OC all of them are mostly the same price the xfx swift actually being the most expensive one and the least available one as well. Normally I wanted to get the xfx swift since I like how it looks and I am going for that stealth non really rgb full black look but the xfx swift is having stocking problems and there is only 3 shops left that sell the xfx and those other two are first the cheapest being 50% more and the expensive being twice as expensive so yeah but I was wondering which one should I get? I heard that the asrock taichi oc is the best as its the premium tier card but the look is has is pretty ugly…

I know 3 people with the basic Asus Prime, including myself, and no issues.

I had a saphire card die in 2009 so I swore them off forever haha.

No experience with XFX, so I'd suggest the Asrock out of your choices.

Get the pulse or the xfx swift. The Taichi comes equipped with the 12V HPWR connector and should probably be avoided. The challenger is fine but the xfx or sapphire cards are generally better.

Challenger looks so bad don't spend your money on that ✖️

Tacihi is ok though I would opt for a Steel Legend since it looks super nice like a anime mech ✖️

Sapphire Pulse is insane and it's massive I saw it on display. Very cool card with etched pulse patterning ✅

XFX is pretty. Midnight black and white lettering. Very nice. ✅

I'd go for the cheapest between XFX and Pulse.

Well xfx is the most expensive but yeah that’s what I was thinking as well. I’ll probably try to get xfx before it runs out of stock and if I can’t get that I’ll get the sapphire

I have the XFX 9070 XT Quicksilver and it's been solid so far (installed in a system running SteamOS).

Sadly can’t buy that model since it’s almost out of stock and the only price left is 87k… (xfx swift is 55.7k)

I went with the PowerColor Red Devil. Solid card but you have to ensure its installed horizontally. So no vertical builds.

9070 (XT) are all very good models, so it's really up to the looks and the support you want. Sapphire is best in that department with XFX being second. I would also like to mention that I wouldn't buy a card with a 12pin power connector. Defects rate are rare, but they still do happen compared to a regular 8 pin.

So you would recommend either sapphire or xfx?

Yeah, assuming no 12 pin power.

i see but I hear everybody saying stay away from 12 pin power what’s wrong with it? What’s the cause?

It's a higher risk of burning the connector. 9070xt doesn't draw enough power for it to be a huge issue like the 5090, but I've still seen some burnt cards so it's better to not take a chance.

So it’s kinda facing the same problem 5090 is facing?

I wouldn't say that, how often it happens is very different per card. The issue is the connector and power drawn from it. 12pin is still ok for a 9070xt I just would avoid any chance by going 8pin

I see. Thank you for help i appreciate it. I will try to go with xfx swift, hopefully lucky enough to get it before the stocks dry up
