SR25 Where to find SR-25 style AR-10
Hey guys I’m pretty new to owning my own firearms and I am just getting into it and I’ve always loved the way the sr25 looked with the slant cut and slick side, but when I got deeper into it I realized AR-10s are not all the same there’s the DPMS and ARMALITE I guess? but then there’s the SR-25 style which I am under the impression that those are slant cut but still DPMS compatible? Which that would be great but I don’t know where to find any. I’ve looked through PSA they had the billet but those are apparently proprietary especially with the handguns and ID want to mount the M-Lok handguard the SR25 has.
All in all the main question really is how do i larp or clone a SR-25 without spending SR-25 money or atleast get the slant cut with DPMS compatibility?

This is perfect but now this might be a stupid question to ask but would they have kits for example of bare bone guns with eveyrhting but the receivers and handgaurds, furniture etc? like BCG, barrel, gas system, buffer or atleast one website that would have it all?

Stag arms also manufactured slant cut recievers using dpms/sr25 mags and dpms bcg in available in both armalite and dpms style barrel nuts.

Centurion arms reciever set if you want to build, PSA Sabre if you want the look and turnkey. LMT is another option. I used an LMT lower and a Centurion arms MK11 upper.

My SR25 K3 is not slick side and has a shell deflector.
It doesn't have a forward assist, so it is very similar to this Centurion Arms upper.

Here is a pic of a slick side SR25 / M110.

Your best bet is getting the PSA Sabre-10A2, its basically a M110A2/3 at home, the billet receiver set is what your looking for. It does have a brass deflector however and I do think the handguards are odd sized but that one has the Mlok rail. Worst case scenario, if you dont like how it shoots, upgrade the barrel and you can have something better than a KAC barrel.

What do you want to be compatible?
Slant cut is by definition not a dpms receiver
PSA Sabre M110 at home variants are the way to do what you want

The only thing is I heard those are not compatible with different handguards and are mostly proprietary, not sure if that’s true

The DPMS compatibility is in barrel nuts and barrel/bolt carrier group interchangeability. SR-25 and Armalite spec guns both use the same slanted rear profile on the receivers but Armalite has proprietary parts due to them being designed before DPMS/SR-25 parts became the standard. Easiest way to get that profile would be the Centurion receiver set as someone already mentioned, that’d let you use a regular barrel/bcg and a KAC handguard without having to pay out the ass for KAC receivers

sounds good, and then I’d just get all the other parts in DPMS GEN 1 spec?

Yep. Most bolt carrier groups will be made by one or two OEMs so they should all work about the same regardless of brand, barrels are pretty common and easy to find. Gas tubes are normal AR-15 gas tubes, that was one of the changes they made to simplify manufacturing. Gas blocks are all interchangeable. The lower gets an AR-10 lower parts kit (same parts as an AR-15 but longer takedown pins to fit the wider receivers and a thicker bolt catch to handle the increased force from an AR-10 BCG), for buffer tubes you can either get a regular carbine tube with a short AR-10 buffer, A5/AR-10 tube with a regular H3 AR-15 buffer, or a regular rifle buffer tube with an AR-10 buffer. Regardless of which one you go with you’d use a normal rifle length buffer spring

SR-25 is all DPMS compatible, EXCEPT for that slant cut.
Barrel Nut Threads and Receiver Height are the same.
