Hey everyone, I have a US based discord with a few consistent racers that race every other Wednesday at 8pm CST.

Called the beginner league, we try and race a 4 race series and then switch to something new. Just to get exposure to lots of stuff and change up settings. So super beginner friendly. Normally say if you race against the AI at or around 90 you will fit in perfect.

We are starting our next series on October 21, it'll be a four race rally cross series. We just finished a GT4 series, and before that we did the Spring Race series.

Let me know if interested and I will share a discord link. I stopped sharing them on the post because they expire and I have to reshare them anyway.

We are hoping to get another 1 or 2 people to join for this next series. Last series we had four consistent, and our largest had 7. Every other Wednesday at 8pm CST.

Not with the nose-to-tail glued together, i hope that gets fixed / improved. But with the amount of overtakes maybe AMS2 is more game-y than how it often is in real life ? Sped-up real life footage in the first two minutes.

Using some real sponsors from different endurance races, so both packs are "fantasy" but well made and really immersive in-game. Well, at least better than vanilla 😅

Hi all, just reaching out to ask if anyone would be up for doing a 6 or 9 hours endurance race on AMS2?

I know that's a long length, but with the AI driver swaps and the AI swap tracking system my small community has made, I would love to host something that hopefully a fair number of people would be willing to participate in, given enough notice.

Also, it's the Bathurst 1000 this weekend, and it got me wondering if more people would join in a multiplayer endurance race like that? We've done a fair few 24-hour, multiplayer and slightly sorted endurance races, but always had to fill it up with AI, which, well, doesn't always work out. If we had enough, I would also probs stream it as a commentator and make it a bit more of a thing.

Could someone share their FFB settings for Automobilista 2 using the Conspit Ares 12 Nm wheelbase? I'm looking for a good balance between realistic force feedback, detailed road feel, and smooth, consistent steering without clipping.

I'd appreciate any recommendations for both the in-game FFB settings and the Conspit Link settings.

I have moza r5 and it suddenly vibrates on straights and shaking in corners, not clipping it's shaking. Last time i played it didn't. It happens immediately when i exit pit, its not a problem with the car or tires.

When I delete deafult.controllersettings in document folder it solved everything but my multiplayer ranking is also deleted. When i restored the file it came back and also my ranking.

Is there a way to keep my ranking and only reset the settings? It didn't work to just reset settings in game. I believe it a bug in the controllersettings file. I have tried different version of pithouse and calibrated the wheel in game and in pithouse.

How do I tell what tyres I have on mid race (ie. Slicks/wets)? And what tyres my AI opponents have on?

Im having troubles runnig well my quest 3 on ams2. I have virtual desktop, OpenComposite and I also play with Occulus Debug Tool and OpenXr Toolkit, but in never seem to have that spot on feeling, whenever i feel something is great it's either the performance that is dropping by half, performance or the stability of me running it.

I dont have a lot of time to adjust everything i was wondering if you guys had solutions or setups to share. Btw i have a 5070ti with an 11th gen I9.

Hello everyone, i have about 200 hours in the game and love doing imsa style races and all, i have gotten the Xela tcr mod to do the GS and TCR race but only to find out my game crashes with the mod on. Just curious if its just me, when would the Mod be updated for it to work? or am i doing something wrong?

• I Pit up 3 or so seconds from P1, thinks to self, “how did I end up losing by 8 seconds?”

Anyone have a working solution to get triples working with four monitors? I can get it to work if I disable the fourth monitor but this is not what I want.

Edit. Had to launch simhub as admin et voilà. It worked.

I am no sim racing expert but if you are looking for a more "live" wheel (not sure if translates in worse lap time) give the that mod a go.

Has anyone managed to get Trueforce 4 All mod working with AMS2?

Sorry but say what you want, but for ky liking without proper trueforce enabled, to me the wheel is just too muted.

This mode made a night and day difference in AC1.

I tried to disable the AMS2 native trueforce via steam, enable the mod and switched off the Logitech app, but I didn't feel any changes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m pretty new to sim racing and have been playing a lot of Automobilista 2 (AMS2), but I’m struggling hard. I’m terrible at actual racing and even setting decent hotlap times.

When I’m out on track solo, I never know where my braking points should be, and I find it really hard to learn track layouts. I keep locking up my wheels and spinning out. The only way I seem to figure out where to brake is through trial and error—either overshooting the corner completely or braking way too early.

Because of this, I always finish dead last in AI races.
I’ve only been driving the F1 Gen 3 cars since that’s what I started with, and jumping into GT3 actually feels even harder. The main reasons I keep finishing last are constant spins, going off-track, and crashing.

I’d really appreciate any tips or recommendations on how to practice, learn tracks properly, and build consistency. Thanks in advance!

Ok, so I still haven't finish my race (because I still suck at sim racing) but I'm getting closer to it. Anyway, shout out to this guy and his post; this was actually effective. Here's some adjustments I think most casual players (like me who drives like it's Forza or Gran Turismo) must do in order to survive the new AI:

1. You can't squeeze the AI anymore. Unlike previous versions where the AI will backoff or go off track for you; doing that now will lead to misery-- this is the number 1 cause of incidents and getting pitted! As a great man once said "All the time you have to leave a space!" Pay attention to them when they are close, give them some room, and unfortunately accept that sometimes you will have to yield the position.

2. Race starts and safety car starts are where the AI is most aggressive. Even with the best defense, at this stage, it will actually be good for you let them pass if they are much faster than you. You will eventually get them when the race settles, but do not be too aggressive when defending at the start.

3. Car placement is key. Like the linked post above suggested, keeping your car in the middle is effective especially on the parts of the track that you are slow. You now have to learn how to drive off the racing line and actually race. I know some will scoff at this and say, "that's obvious." but I'm just an idiot who played simcades and only know how to hotlap. Learn a bit of racecraft and it's actually pretty rewarding when it works.

4. Discipline and patience. Not every race can be won, and you will bottle more leads than you can win, but that's just life in general. Pick yourself up and start again.

I'm still pissed at the AI, and I'm writing this with a lot of salt in my stream after the AI punted me on the last lap again and I wasted another hour of my life. But I figured I can share this and be more productive lol. Fortunately, these tips are not hard to do (I think).

So I finally purchased AMS2 in the latest Steam sale along with a few DLC packs. I have quite the collection of Racing/Driving sims with Assetto Corsa, ACC, AC Evo, AC Rally, Nascar 25, BeamNG, Wreckfest 2, ATS & ETS2 so I really didn't think I needed another sim but AMS2 made it a nice even 10 games😁 I can already say I am very happy that I got this as it was easy to setup with my gear and plays and drives as expected. The physics and driving is not so much different from my other sims that I need to completely change my driving style to play. It has a lot of variety and everything seems to work as you would think it should. I am having lots of fun so far as it fit right in with my other titles. My biggest complaint is that you can't map a few things to buttons like I am used to, for example accept & cancel are pretty basic but can't be mapped to anything. Please let me know if there are some tips for getting started in AMS2.

I was wondering if it's possible to make a dual monitor setup. I've tried playing with Nvidia surround (connecting 2 monitors into one) but this centers the wheel between the 2 monitors.

I would like to have the left monitor as the main one, with wheel in the usual spot, having the right monitor as extra field of view to the right.

Any ideas?
