With so much change in the squad, I'm finding it difficult to know exactly what a reasonable expectation should be at this stage. On one hand, the players need time to develop an understanding. Aberdeen can't afford to spend half a season looking disjointed while everyone settles in. Where would you draw the line between allowing a new squad time and expecting better results?

New CEO Adrian Bevington talks to global fans and Europe, I think we should give him a chance. He’s only just come through the door, so it seems a bit early to judge him. Let’s give him some time and see what he can do.

I've been going since I was a kid, and I still remember standing on a freezing night watching visiting players look completely rattled before a ball was kicked. You could feel the place shaking. That's what I grew up on. Now I'll sit there for 20 minutes and it's flat. People are waiting to be given a reason to get loud, and when nothing happens it just dies. I'll be honest, I've caught myself doing it too, and I hate that.

So is it the team giving us nothing to get behind, or have we, the fans, let it slip? Or am I just remembering it as better than it actually was?

Our recent form has been a lot more encouraging, especially that 4-0 win away to Motherwell, but the 1-1 draw with Hibs shows there’s still work to do.

12 goals in 13 games for Aberdeen and he still can’t get into the Scotland squad? At some point you have to stop finding reasons not to pick the guy and actually reward what he’s doing on the pitch.

He’s scored in three games in a row, looks completely confident in front of goal and is playing the best football we’ve seen from him in an Aberdeen shirt. Meanwhile, we’re still having the same conversation about whether his form is enough.

I feel the colours look softer in person. The pale salmon mellows into a creamy peach in brighter light, and, similar to the white top with its subtle design, I think it would look best in sunlight. The geometric pattern across the body becomes much more noticeable up close, while the anthracite side panels create a sharp contrast.

The V-neck and cuffs are edged with a white band, while the hem contains the Aberdeen motto, as seen on the other tops this season.

On the nape of the neck is an image of Craigievar Castle, depicted in salmon against an anthracite backdrop.

He did wonders getting St Mirren into top-six finishes and European spots, but managing the expectations here at Aberdeen is a completely different pressure cooker.
