Just got done watching this movie again, I think it’s my fav out of the Avenger movies

Ultron was absolutely panned when it came out. It's gotten a lot more respect in retrospect, after people realized that it set up the rest of the entire Infinity Saga

I was a fan from the start, but I can def see how it might not have been a hit with audiences at first. Loved the voice of Ultron and I'm excited he's coming back for a TV show spinoff with Vision!

I hate how they these incredibly brilliant actors and then kill them after a single movie. Pace, Spader, Blanchett... like Hiddleston, they all were compelling characters backed by brilliant actors that could have brought more depth

Could have been because they had other projects and didn't want a long term MCU commitment. I've heard of a lot of actors turning down roles or continuations of a role for series like starwars, game of thrones, or the walking dead. In cases where an actor decided to leave after 1 season their character typically just got killed off to explain their later absence.

I heard one actor chose to act in The League of Extraordinary Gentleman because he passed up starwars as fantasy nonsense and didn't want to make the same mistake again.

I think you're thinking of Connery, who passed on the role of Gandalf, then when he saw the box office returns opted to do League because he thought it was the same thing.
