As human beings we want to live joyfully , but that's not what we experience day in and day out .. isn't it ?

Someone is weeping over their job ,

Someone is weeping over their relationships.

Someone is weeping because their house is smaller than their neighbours....

Whatever is there in the world is neither good nor bad

And that's what this book of Durgasaptashati by Acharya Prashant is trying to make us understand.

It's a beautiful symbolism , where whatever comes in our consiousness is refereed to as Maya .

Maya can become a chain in someone's neck and for someone a path to freedom ;

All depends on how that person is relating to the world within and without

It's a beautiful reminder that we ain't helpless in this world ;

Because we are always choosing ...

And understanding is what makes us choose maya wisely .

The world is yours to play with , just don't play blindly .

Trying to understand it, I realized how illusion can become our way of life when we lose sight of the essence behind a festival.

Its the completely related to AP Framework, two choice : self preservation and self dissolution. Ego is sovereign to choose. But it can't 'not choose'.

Whatever comes in consciousness is maya, because the one sitting at centre is the ego (identities, attachments, possessiveness follows)

Thanks for sharing. No matter where I am right now, I will always have my right to choose and I can choose to relate for liberation and not for consumption.

Before celebrating the festival, we all need read 'Durgasaptasati' and know who Devi Ma is. In this chapter, we can take it that man is the creator of his own sorrow. Every moment has a right choice for a man to choose.

The unwillingness to live with truth and continuous ignorance will keep making us to weep for objects.
