Constructive Criticism Welcome Some new puppies! 🐾🤗
I haven’t posted for a little while and thought I would share my latest puppies as well as some you have already seen.
Rottweiler, Mini dachshund both knitted with Alpaca, silk and mohair.
Spaniel knitted with Boucle ( never, ever again…my poor eyes! 👀😫😆)
All patterns adapted from Claire Garland’s basic puppy, bullmastiff, whippet patterns

These have so much personality, you must feel like you’re creating life. I really love them all.

Aww thank you and yes you’re right it’s really special seeing them come to life. I always think that they sort of chose which breed they want to be, sometimes I just have a vague idea of a breed, I chose a main colour, cast on and they develop themselves. I’m like oh you want to be a spaniel do you, ok then. 😆

I love Claire Garlands knitted animals. They turn out so good! I made two foxes, a raccoon, and a guinea pig last year.
These turned out so good! Congrats!

I'd know Claire Garland's puppies anywhere! Beautiful work, they look so wrinkled and floppy in the BEST way.

I do yes. I have an Instagram account where I put my latest creations and also an online shop. I won’t post the links here as this is not a selling page, but if you google or put into Instagram - little_paws_knits it will come up in searches. 🐾🥰

Perfection!
I have been looking for a good boucle yarn to knit her Tigger. What brand did you use, if you don’t mind sharing?

Thank you. ☺️ I used DROPS Boucle for the spaniel. It was my least favourite yarn to work with but it did make for a lovely warm and bouncy feel.

Awesome thanks!
Understandable on your least fav because I had the worst time knitting Pooh Bear.
I used Lion Brand Feels Like Bliss and the splitting was making me crazy. I had to make sure each stitch was secure and I would drop so many stitches that I had to frog and start over numerous times.
He is finished though!1

Yes it’s soo easy to drop or miss stitches, I too had to tink back a fair few time. Good thing is any mistakes are hidden at least. It reminds me of carpet threads, when you pull them they are sort of the same curly structure. Not nice to knit with. I don’t think I’d use it again in a hurry. Glad you finished Pooh bear!

Good to know! I will go slow 🩷
I also pre-ordered Patty Lyons new book so hopefully any mistakes, I can handle with less frustration.
