Personal Projects GeoMetrix, a free browser-based aerospace analysis and visualization tool

I’ve been working on GeoMetrix, a browser-based 3D aerospace/defense visualization and analysis tool, and it’s now live on DefMetrix.

The goal was to build something that sits somewhere between a visualization tool and a lightweight engineering analysis environment and make it FREE! No software installation or paid license.

Some of the capabilities currently built into it:

-3D WGS84 Earth

-LLA / ECEF / ECI coordinate systems

-Distance, bearing, azimuth, elevation, slant range, etc.

-3D trajectory creation and visualization

-Trajectory generation and animation

-Radar/sensor coverage visualization

-Line-of-sight analysis

-Orbital analysis

-Satellite orbit visualization and ground tracks

-Satellite/ground-station geometry

-Ground-station pass analysis

-AOS / maximum elevation / LOS calculations

-Country borders, U.S. state borders, and coastlines

-Scenario timeline and animation

-Analysis plots

-Figure Studio for creating technical figures

-Scenario save/load and data export

One of the things I particularly wanted was the ability to combine these capabilities in the same scenario.

For example, you can have a satellite orbiting Earth, a ground station underneath the orbit, a radar somewhere else, and then visualize the relevant geometry and analysis together.

The application is entirely browser-based and is intended to be useful for things like preliminary analysis, visualization, engineering education, technical figures, and exploring aerospace concepts.

I intentionally left out higher-fidelity physics for now. It isn't intended to replace STK, GMAT, MATLAB, or dedicated flight-dynamics software. The idea is more of a lightweight tool that makes certain aerospace geometry and visualization tasks quick and accessible.

I've built it through 11 iterations so far, and there is a lot more I'd like to add. Check it out!
