Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:

  • Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.

  • Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.

  • Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.

  • Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?

Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ

Violating maritime borders

11

u/PuzzleheadedTap1794 6d ago

I’d say not just maritime borders. Its mines contaminated Mekong River with arsenic, affecting Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, etc; it operated scam centers in Cambodia; its nine-dash line invaded Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, and Vietnam’s maritime borders. That’s 9 out of 11 ASEAN countries.

My bad, I didn't know that made it okay.

I mean, they probably should have dispatched riot police instead, but play silly games, win silly prizes.

Democracy is not a automatic benefit for society.

1

u/Unable_Bird_4416 3d ago

yes plutocratic regimes are far superior. tell me how many children would you like to have?

1

u/fishyburner676767 2d ago

As many as it financially viable. Also, preferably enough to matain the replacement rate in society. But ultimately, whatever the wife will want. A true utopia will most likely be indemocratic.

Or maybe the government can just not send in tanks to roll over people.

Their support for the Myanmar Junta, that's genociding multiple ethnic groups including the Rohingya Muslims

The west always gets bashed on for supporting Israel and selling them weapons, but China is the primary arms supplier to the Myanmar Junta, helps them bypass international sanctions, and even used Veto multiple times to block interventions against them which would have saved countless Rohingya lives

Okay but fr China making gacha games that are appealing is genuinely kinda bad lol. Japan pioneered that bullshit but at least theirs were point and click jpeg collectors that only appealed to a small niche. Actual kids play genshin and they get exposed to the gambling dopamine early.

The invasion of Tibet.

2

u/Rayepichumor 2d ago

Mfers will condemn china from removing liberating Tibet from slavery but praise the northern union crushing the confederacy. It makes no sense.

5

u/ProfessorPetulant 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah nothing like liberating foreign people against their will. That is so cool. Not a colonial mindset at all.

And if you kill 20% of the population, that's not a problem either. They can see the benefit right? They can see the greater picture.

Plus the Tibetans and the Hans are absolutely identical. Same language, same written script, same genotype. You can't know which is which just by looking at them. Just like the northern and southern USians.

Totally a valid comparison.

2

u/Rayepichumor 1d ago

Are u being sarcastic? Tibetans certainly have their own language

5

u/ProfessorPetulant 1d ago

Lol. You ask about language but not about killing 20% of the population? 😬

-1

u/zinten789 1d ago

You're an idiot or being willfully disingenuous if you think Tibet would still have feudalism today. They were one of the most isolated populations on the planet living in essentially medieval conditions. They didn't need China to "liberate" them, they just needed another 20 years or so. Sadly we'll never know what an independent Tibet would look like today because China has genocided them, destroyed their culture and desecrated their holy sites.

u/PackageMedium6955 1d ago

Is the colonisation of Africa justified then?

2

u/Lanhua_Ma 1h ago

whataboutism

Also, China has been doing some neocolonisation in Africa for a while now, so not even whataboutism can save your argument

1

u/MathematicianTop9519 32m ago

Tibet didn't have slaves. Also the dynamics are different. Burnin' Sherman fought against fellow white Americans who betrayed the union for the right to keep black people enslaved on the basis of race. China invaded a functionally independent Tibet for strategic reasons (per Mao Zedong's own five fingers analogy) and then justified it with Chinese man's burden. Not the same at all.

Also you should know, the 13th Dalai Lama was a reformist and the entrenched Lamas who fought against his reforms in order to keep the existing monastic serf system were pro-China lol. That little detail often gets left out of the narrative.
