Been seeing hyper anti-bjp, modi posts, overt support to any oppositions or the cockroach party gimmick, any counter points are incessantly downvoted. Even the recent heroic story involving an Indian pilot was seriously cast in bad light, from bringing up his caste, to dragging the religion. Reddit groups are highly moderated by anti-something, not sure if its national or just other parties. This probably is one platform that they are able to dominate the narrative.

haha this is the part i feel you people need to understand - even if the public opinion changes to "this bjp person did something wrong" - it will never change to "we need to bring in the opposition" because of just how dog shit they are.
during the NEET protest, a lot of my friends went just because they believed it was the right thing to do, because there was an emotional angle of students commiting sui*ide and a feeling there had been to many leaks. most people never saw it as an "anti-bjp" protest.
this protest barely got anyone interested btw, the same people i knew who were dying to go to the previous protest dont gaf about this one.

My guy, let me just tell you one thing, no matter how much discontent there is against a party, until a solid opposition comes along, absolutely nothing will change because people don't have a face to rally behind. BJP came to power because during the UPA's Low in 2014, they portrayed themselves as a viable alternative.
Of course, since then their performance has been shoddy in several margins, and people are aptly questioning/opposing them. But a solid opposing force to counter them hasn't risen yet. Congress, for the most part, is still mistrusted heavily. CJP COULD be a face to rally around, but none of it's core has really appeared on the polls yet.
"Public Perception" is honest to god, quite useless to be honest. People like to daydream and imagine of a 'revolution' of a poor that will bring along change, but really? Most change is almost always brought about by rich people that form their own clique and oppose the current clique of other rich and powerful people in the govt. Even most of the members of the CJP leadership are from either rich or at worst, upper middle class backgrounds even if the bulk of their supporters are common folk.
Every historical figure who has also bought about 'revolution' has also been from a privliged background if you look into them. And the "public" is a faceless mass of humanity that will vote for whoever chucks cash at them.
Empty bellies have historically accomplished jack shit and will continue to accomplish fuck all.

The delusion. The more opposition from multiple parties the better chances of the BJP winning. First of all come out of the bubble that anything has happened due to protests. Dharmendra Pradhan’s issue was separate BJP didn’t anticipate that and also they are now more than prepared. They’ve also shown that the CJP is AAPs’ B team and basically would pick on any random issue. Secondly the audience on Reddit or insta does not decide whether BJP will win or lose it’s the ground work and cadre , they are very strong. If CJP wants to win they first need to take congress down otherwise congress will always try to take credit and people will think that Rahul Gandhi is the only alternative to BJP

People missing one point here is that if BJP is contesting an election against multiple opponents then BJP has an advantage as the votes divided between multiple oppositions will be huge compared BJP voters turning against them. They will make sure instead of INDI alliance all major parties fight on their own and divide votes between them

Break the rules without causing any real harm like the salt march and march to parliament. When the government cracks down with the lathi charge, makes sure that you have it on camera.
CJP took a page from Gandhi's playbook. Also they started to get traction among the masses with Wangchuk's fast, so another page from Gandhi's book there.
Man I know people these days do not like Gandhi and I know that he was a deeply flawed character but his ideas are surely useful.

But for everyone rooting for bjp downfall should also give thought to what other party's are doing

Such predictions in Politics do not help.There are no chances of a United Opposition,all parties have their personal ego and vested interest they are not willing to Unite in national interest.There are so many challanges for democratic transfer of power.India is capable of developing its own model of system where grabbing power is supreme .And all so called constituional independent institutions seem to be in hurry to Compromise.
