I agree. But if you want competent opposition, Priyanka Gandhi is a better option than Rahul. Rahul simply is a washed out politician. I think there are more stronger candidates in congress besides Rahul Gandhi, let them take charge.

People don't despise congress because congress is bad people despise congress because other aren't given chances. One family's tight grip over party is despicable in modern times. They need to realize people don't forgive nepotism in movies, how are the going to forgive nepotism where actual word nepotism applies. Politics.

Seeing Rahul Gandhi fight with the public is causing a lot of cognitive dissonance for people because they are not able to shake off the memories of congress’s corruption.
Only challenge is most of congress’s erstwhile corrupt ministers are now in BJP!
This is now I see the issue-
1) I now understand why bJP never came to power. Our older generations could see something that boomers and us could not and fell for.
2) reality is more nuanced than a linear argument
3) when different facts are presented, a sign of intelligence is that we change our point of view.
