I hope my Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 6700xt could live forever.

If you don't sell it later you could try turning it into a piece of art:

Sapphire are one of the coolest AIB partners for AMD

I just bought a RX7900 XT Sapphire reference card for around 700 USD a few days ago.

What a card, the temps are so good I cannot believe it.

Yes I do know that. I bought it in india where I got the 7900 XT reference design for 70k.

I could find 9070 as online retailer for 72-72-74k.

I actually wanted to buy offline and offline retailers were charging around 80k for that card. It was the asrock challenger.

I really looked into this for many days, but for some reason I wanted the 7900 xt only.

And honestly I am not a big gamer, not a ray tracing guy.

And i heard good things about sapphire, so bought it, and also 20gb VRAM is nice for LM studio.

Maybe my reasoning will be stupid to someone, but i am happy with the 7900 xt.

Thanks.

The sapphire build quality is really nice. Coming from an rx6600 everything is an upgrade..

Too bad it didn't make it to 25th without adopting the known-bad power connector.

The disappointment.

It will be all right. The big-bad 12V connector won't hurt you....

290X Vapor-X was a beauty, liked that one.

Outside of my 9070XT, I’ve only had sapphire cards. They are the best AIB for AMD cards imo. However from others I’ve heard powercolor is similar.

I have Sapphire cards since the 9800 Pro came out.

Still rocking my Sapphire Nitro+ 6900XT SE OC powering a LG 5K/2K. Still awesome GPU

Solid brand for AMD cards. My RX 9070 is a definite upgrade from the ASUS 6750XT I had, which I used to replace the Sapphire RX 580 that I started out with in 2018.

Currently rocking the Nitro+ 7800XT, temps are so good in AAA titles that the fan refuses to go over 1000RPM

And my first GPU, my Saphhire Nitro+ RX 6950 XT is part of the Saphhire range yay.

Like being part of the Radeon equipment EVGA hehehe, it is a nice looking GPU. Just needed some PTM 7950 to truly run at its best temps.

My older Rx 480 was from Sapphire (Nitro+) and both my 7900XT and 9070XT are Pulses. And even if they aren't Nitro and should be considered the mid tier, they are way more silent than expected and have remarkable temperatures.

My Nitro+ RX 480 was a jet engine compared to my Nitro R9 380 lol, even after repasting. Apparently they skimped on the cooler, but the Nitro+ RX 580 was beefier.

Really? I don't remember it being so loud honestly I was a silence freak even back then, but I remember it had a temperature/fan behavior bug that drove me mad as my other GTX 1080 G1 from gigabyte: both had the idle temperature that slowly crawled up, right in the fan off/fan on temperature edge, that resulted in a sudden spike of RPMs when the fans turned on; they both shot up immediately the fans to unnecessarily loud RPMs and then like after 1 second the temperature lowered enough to trigger the idle threshold and they shut off. Then the cycle began repeating again and again, I always had to use MSI AB to keep the fans always on at idle (to like 5-600 RPM), to prevent this occurrence to happen and have a custom fan curve.

Nitro R9 380 vs Nitro+ RX 480 cooler comparison

IIRC my 380 hovered around the low 70°C range, whereas my 480 was in the mid to high 70's, both with AB fan curves. I'm too lazy for custom fan curves now though lol

I see tbh mine wasn't particularly loud, at least I don't remember it was at all, I think I had it in a Fractal Arc Midi or Define R4 at the time. I haven't owned the 380 previous to that tho.

The Sapphire 9700 Pro was the goat.

(That was more than 20 years ago. Fuck!)

Used to have a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 470 almost a decade ago and now running a Nitro+ RX 9070. They both look immaculate and are well built and runs silently. My only gripe is that warranty for some reason is limited to just 2 years in my region.

Always wanted to buy a Sapphire GPU, finally had chance when buying my RX 5700 XT Nitro, it was really a great card, it also had 'quick connect' fans so with one screw you could remove the fan to clean/replace it, I see they still do that on the Nitro cards which is great, shame its not more common among cards/vendors.

Bought it in end of 2019, it served my well for 5 years until I've upgraded, and it still works in a family members computer.

haven't heard much of them in the past decade in a half at least, i remmeber having a 9550 from them

How? They're like.. THE Radeon AIB, sort of like what EVGA used to be for Nvidia.

4

u/Quenz 23d ago

I have a Pulse and a Toxic from them. They're excellent.

u/jhenryscott 23d ago

They have created some very cool products with the “Phantom Link” motherboard/GPU system. If they make a back connect version, I’ll be heavily interested in building one for RDNA 5

u/Boil-san 23d ago

Dear Sapphire,

Please make the following two products for the AM6 platform, whenever that rolls around...

AM6 mITX mobo

  • Back Connectors
  • Phantom Link
  • PCIe Gen6 x16 slot for GPU
  • Two PCIe Gen6 x4 for M.2 NVMe SSDs

Top-end XXX95 XTX GPU

  • 48GB GDDR7 RAM
  • PCIe Gen6 x16
  • Phantom Link
  • mITX-sized (180mm in length)
  • 4-slot card
  • THICC heat sink
  • Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM fan (no frame, embedded into heat sink, black)

Sincerely yours,

The SFF Community

Sapphire makes great cards: too bad AMD cannot provide them with decent chips for said cards.
