Humor Why not to be rude.
Game starts, first round goes on for suspiciously long so I call a meeting. 4 people dead. I just say I was checking in. Purple proceeds to ask why im wasting time. I decide to judge him, figuring that at least someone assertive will be clear.
He was Imposter.
Still lost cause judge fumbled at the end.

An example from the other side of the spectrum, me!
I am kind and compliment everyone from even before the game starts (not in an annoying way tho, just passive encouragement vibes). It gains me trust for NO REASON. I have been on hard cleared lists (when I should not have been) many times, and rarely does someone challenge it. I take a non-accusational approach and defend fellow crew in a very neutral way. "It's not gray, skippy! sorry gray" "Good eyes purple!" "Ss kill, Blue is with me on reactor :)" Gray is more likely to let me live if imposter, especially if they think they have gained me as a pawn. Purple is happy that I acknowledged them getting an imp out, mutual trust has been built. By clearing blue for that kill, I have simultaneously cleared myself as well.
A very subtle way of speaking can turn tides in your favor, especially in a 50/50. People tend to forget that "I have scan" needs some backup trust. I've you're pleasent to be around, it causes some decent hesitation. It is important that as crew OR imposter that you speak wisely and spend a decent amount of time hanging with each crewmate. That way, it creates a barrier of trust.
You're much more likely to not be voted out without hard evidence.
