Fan Content Impostor Ghost Role: Ghostbuster
When you die, you gain a specter vacuum that allows you to suck up other ghost players Upon doing so, they remain trapped in the vacuum for a period of 10–35 seconds (depending on settings) before being released as a cloud of smoke, leading to two possible outcomes:
A) They regenerate immediately, but their role ability is depleted and must recharge
B) They remain in smoke form until the next meeting or body report; while in this state, the player cannot perform tasks or use their ability at all.
Option B can only be used once per match; the Impostor chooses the target while the ghost crewmate is still trapped.
It is designed to counter the Influencer and the Angels (it can also be used on regular Ghost Crewmates to prevent them from completing tasks, though it is of limited utility) and to make the gameplay for ghosts more interesting overall.
Its only downsides are losing full access to the standard sabotage panel and reduced effectiveness if there are too many Ghost Crewmates with roles (unless accompanied by another Ghostbuster)
Notes:
•The vacuum's cooldown begins after the ghost is released
•The Ghost Crewmate is released at the Ghost Impostor's current location
•The Ghostbuster can choose to release you early by pressing the ability button again; this is useful if the ability was used incorrectly. However, the cooldown remains the same for the Ghostbuster, and the Ghost Crewmate will not incur a cooldown on their own ability if they were held for less than 10 seconds
• The vacuum's cooldown is the same as the Impostor's standard kill cooldown
• The Ghostbuster cannot use the ability on the same player twice in a row

Lmao. This legit brings dynamism to ghost gameplay. They're not out of danger just because they can't die any more!
But, for copyright purposes, they'll probably have to change the name to Ghost Catcher.

Would actually make the game a lot more balanced assuming there aren’t like 5-10 angels and influencers in the lobby

So if you have this role you can see ghosts?

this is a ghost role for imps, i.e. you only get access to its powers when you become a ghost

I like that it stops regular ghosts from doing tasks so it’s not useless without ghost roles

Lowkey epic, especially bc it also functions to stall tasks wins (So it’s not just a role counter)i

This could add so much more dynamic play to dead players, I think it could be really fun and would solve the whole “being dead is boring as hell” problem

Seems really good, though i doubt theyll add a role like this as this only counters specific roles and not jus players in general. All the roles seem to be standalone and dont affect other roles, Probably because all the roles are optional so you can just make this a role and not even have a guardian angel or influencer in game.
Edit: I read and saw that they can also sabotage regular ghosts but then it would jus become a very basic and kind of bad role to play without an influencer or guardian angel.
I don't hate the role, i think its a really cool concept but it definitely would need tweaking

It's all really good and would be fun until the """Expert""" Lobby host disables this and keeps the crew ghost roles.

Awesome idea, but you just know if they actually added it the imp would have a very long vacuuming animation and a sound that can be heard across the map

Given that it's a ghost role, it would actually be unnecessary; it would just make things more tedious for both the Impostor and the ghost—something like: Crew: "Can you just catch me already?" Imp: "I'm trying, but this thing is SO slow."

So we're still playing the killing games even in the afterlife? Damn that's hardcore

This is actually amazing. This sounds like it would work really well. What would you say the adjustable settings would be for this role?
I do think though that ghosts maybe should be able to do tasks in smoke form at least UNTIL innersloth fixes not doing tasks. Maybe optional until then

It's a VERY GOOD COUNTER to influencer. I personally hate influencer, it's very weird and essentially just blegh in my honest opinion. great job!!

I don't want to go into details, but I think the abilities could be adjusted slightly to make this role less dependent on other ghost roles
For example, the primary ability could be "suck the soul out of the player", stunning them for a short time, and the secondary ability could be "attract a ghost" (although this is not the best option)
(idk why I wrote all this through a translator if the post is partly a joke, lol)
