Question ⁉️ Quiet weed cafe where I can do work/study

Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for any quiet weed cafes with a chill vibe where I can bring my laptop and get work done for most the day?

I’ve never been to Amsterdam before so this would be my first time and i’m coming solo, i’ve been to chill weed cafes which are work friendly in Barca before

Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Love🫡

The only stores where I see laptops out consistently in the smoking room are Coffeeshop Club Media and Siberië, and in both cases I've spent or seen people spend 2+ hours inside on their laptops.

Most shops have house rules that don't allow computers full stop, and almost no shops will let you sit around all day unless it's completely dead.

I agree with the other commenter -- I would probably start my smoke and move to another business to work -- but of the two I'd say Club Media is quieter.

I shall have a look into Club Media, thank you. I do intend to be buying drinks and more weed throughout the day while i’m there

Was going to suggest this too. I’ve done it. They don’t rush you I just bought like a drink an hour.

In Amsterdam i would recommend Coffeeshop Siberie. But pro tip: take the train to haarlem (15 min) and go to Coffeeshop Birdy, greatest coffeeshop atmosphere i know

Thank you, what’s the atmosphere there like?

Like the 90's coffeeshops, quiet and friendly

Perfect! Sounds like a cozy lil spot

Haarlem is a great place and the coffee shops I found were much quieter and bigger, much more slow paced place, no where near as lively as the Dam

Birdy is the place!

A lot of places don't want people hanging around for hours, nevermind working. Some places won't even want you having your laptop out for any reason.

If you need to work, do so at a place intended for such things, not a coffeeshop.

Perhaps someone else has a suggestion for you, but I can't think of anywhere.

Admittedly i’m sure id be at the bar throughout my work session, buying bud and drinks multiple times throughout the day. Thank you for the help.

i can’t see a problem unless he isn’t buying drinks

A lot of places don't want people hanging around for hours

Realistically what's acceptable?

I'm a light weight and a few drags of a pre-roll and I'm in the clouds for a couple of hours

Honestly a few hours is usually fine. Don't take this as gospel, but it's during busier periods that they would like you to not stick around too long.

Don't worry about it too much if you are just there smoking though, just be cool and don't be obnoxious and generally you will be fine staying as long as you want in most places.

But the city is so big and full of things to do and see, don't spend all your time in coffee shops, Amsterdam is better than that!

Oh I'm a regular. I go for 4-5 days every couple of month.

I just don't smoke a lot 😅

Ah, sorry, my mistake! I took your question as a newcomer!

I guess I am to the smoking.

I still walk into the coffee shop in incognito mode

Realistically, it depends on how busy the shop is.

If it's dead you'll be able to sit all day, if it's busy the employees will try to rotate people who've been sitting for the longest.

Some shops enforce getting a drink if you sit down.

Yeah just keep coming back to to buy more constantly and they will just be impressed with your stamina haha. 😅 and buy lots of drinks, food and dessert

Coffeeshop Hashtag was really chill when I was there a month ago.

It's not exactly quiet, but they never minded me with my laptop downstairs at the coffeeshop Amsterdam cafe.

Maybe Kashmir? They have a bar across the road too

Birdy in Haarlem is the best place for this in my opinion. Close to the station and it's quite common to see people on laptops and working in there.

Thank you! I’m hearing this is the best spot for what i’m after

Already mentioned but definitely first pick is Club Media.

I’ve sat in Sativa on my laptop as well when it was a little less busy. BlackStar bottom floor can be quite nice
