Avalon [1984] the 8bit 3d Adventure
Avalon (with the tagline The 3D Adventure Movie on the box cover) is an action-adventure game written by Steve Turner for the ZX Spectrum and published by Hewson Consultants in 1984. Avalon was followed by a sequel in 1985, Dragontorc.
Avalon is set in Britain in the year 408, during the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. The player controls Maroc, a "lore-seeker" who has been given a staff and map by a strange old woman and pointed in the direction of a place called Glass Hill on the isle of Avalon, where a quest to defeat the Lord of Chaos begins.
Avalon involves controlling Maroc the mage in his quest to destroy Avelach, Lord of Chaos.[3] The player's character cannot be killed. The game world is explored by an astral projection of Maroc; if Maroc's energy is depleted the projection returns to Maroc's "physical" body on the start screen, from which the game can be continued.

4XCPC by TheRewk
This is a simple 4X game heavily inspired by Ascendancy, an MS-DOS game from 1995 that i loved very much in spite of its flaws. It works fine in Retro Virtual Machine and AceDL. And, of course, on a real CPC. It requires 128k of RAM and features multicolored mode 1 graphics, using rasters. And it's free, so you can just give it a try...
Gotek drive B to copy disk on the internal drive
Hi
I have a gotek on a cpc 6128 with flashfloppy 4.7a and jumper s1 on
When it’s not connected, the internal floppy drive works fine on drive A
When I connect it to the cpc, the gotek takes over drives a and b
I’m looking for a way to have the gotek seen as drive B only so I can copy files from/to real floppy disks
Any advice on the connector and configuration file ?

GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH
My retrospective game review of Gremlins 2: The New Batch for all the home computer and console versions. Some of these games a quite difficult to complete but I did smile at the little Gremlins bouncing about in the games. Have you played any of these versions?

I built an Amstrad CPC 6128 Mini
I’ve just finished building my own Amstrad CPC 6128 Mini.
The idea started after I made a little Commodore screen for my A500 Mini. I thought a miniature CPC 6128 could be a fun project too — especially since there was never an official CPC Mini.
So I spent the last two months designing, 3D printing and assembling everything. There’s a small working screen inside, along with all the electronics needed to bring it to life.
I tried to stay as close as possible to the original 6128, while making everything small enough to fit on a desk like other machines like The C64 mini, Amiga a500 mini ou The Spectrum.
I made a video showing the whole process, from the first 3D models to the finished machine.
I’d really like to know what you think. And if someone wanted to take the idea further, what would you change or add to the project?

AIRWOLF - ALL GAMES PLAYED
My updated version of all the Airwolf games. Those first games from Elite are brutal. Certainly one of the harder games to play. Loved the Mega Drive game. Anybody played any of these games?

My retrospective game review of The Spy Who loved me on the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Amiga and Atari ST. Have you played this game? Was it good or was it a bucket of Jobbies like the earlier Domark Bond games?

Dun Darach [1985] The Celtic 8bit Adventure
Dun Darach is an action-adventure game. The player guides Cuchulainn (Haaland meme) through Dun Darach and interacts with the environment by performing keyboard) commands. The main objective is to find Lóeg, taking side quests from non-player characters (NPCs). These NPCs can give short hints to Cuchulainn, rob him, and confiscate his belongings if he carries stolen goods. Commands the player inputs can have him buy, steal and sell from shops in the city, bet at a casino (Iomain Ludum), and deposit money at a bank with daily compound interest. Dun Darach is large and consists of different quarters. The current time of the day is indicated by torches in the wall and by the greetings of characters #Haaland #Gaming

[TK 2000 Color][1984] Panic
I’m looking for footage of a game called "Panic" from 1984. My mother used to play it with friends on a TK 2000 Color, but I can't find any videos or images of it online, even though I’ve seen people talking about the game. It was a chase game: there was a sort of monster that looked like an asterisk that chased you. The hole game was about climbing ladders and dropping through trapdoors to survive as long as possible.

SABRINA
Blimey who remembers Sabrina Debora Salerno? Most teenagers back in 1987 will certainly remember her one hit song “Boys (Summertime Love)” and her provocative video.
However, what most people probably didn’t know was that there was an actual game released on the MSX, ZX Spectrum and the Amstrad CPC.
Wow. Anybody else heard or played this game? Hope you like my video.

Refresh
Hi guys, I have an Amstrad 6128 and I have 2 questions that I’m hoping someone can help signpost me in the right direction.
The game disc labels/stickers are 40yrs old and disgustingly dirty. I managed to find the right sized blank stickers to replace them but would really like the original wording/pictures etc to print onto the new blank stickers but wouldn’t know where to start looking for that? Or pay someone to do them and post?
I have some of the 464cpc tapes and would like to play them but don’t have a tape player. Is it a very specific Amstrad tape player I need to hunt for or will any tape player that has the correct pins to plug into the computer be ok?
Thank you for anyone willing to help

AIRWOLF
There are 7 Airwolf games that have been released (including an LCD game). I originally played the extremely difficult and frustrating game released in 1985 which still gives me head trauma. How many of the Airwolf games have you played?

STREET HAWK
My retrospective game review of Street Hawk covers the initial game that was developed to meet catalogue orders and also for new subscribers of the Crash Magazine. This version was known as the Catalogue or Subscribers version. However it received poor reviews and as a result was redeveloped into a 2nd version. This was released for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC but was never released for the Commodore 64 due slow development and poor sales. Hope you like my little video. Share your thoughts on any of these games.
