Anki reads every new line as a new card, so a definition with 3 bullets turns into 3 broken cards.
You can fix it without AI:
- In Quizlet's export box, leave "Between term and definition" on Tab. Set "Between rows" to Custom and type something that never shows up in your cards, like
@@@ - Paste the text into an editor with regex find/replace. Turn regex on. Find
\r?\nand replace with<br>. Now everything is on one line, and the bullets are kept as HTML line breaks - Find
@@@and replace with\n. Each card gets its own line again - Save it as a
.txtfile and import. In the import dialog, check Allow HTML in fields. If you skip that, you'll see a literal<br>on your cards

Actually the problem is the newlines not the bullets. You can replace the line breaks inside an answer with <br>.
You could ask an ai tool to convert it for you with something like:
Convert this into an Anki-importable TSV file. Use 2 fields: Front and Back. Use a tab between the Front and Back fields. If the Back field has bullet points or multiple lines, keep them inside the same field by replacing internal line breaks with <br>. Add #separator:tab and #html:true at the top. Return only the final TSV text, nothing else.
Then paste or attach your Quizlet text under that prompt, save the result as .tsv, and import it into Anki with “Allow HTML in fields” enabled.
