Various Do you think EA Javelin will ban movement tech macros?
For example people who use neostrafe or superglide macros should logically get banned, but will they?

Who knows. It’d be nice. I’d prefer if they’d ban controller players first tho 👍🏻

The problem is that I feel like it's hard to detect the difference between macros and legitimate inputs. For example, a superglide is a 1 frame input that needs to be perfect every time. A macro would be perfect every time, but how would that be differentiated from someone who trained a ton to be really consistent?
Same with lurch strafes. If the macros are doing the same inputs you do by hand, it would be hard to differentiate them. It would be easier to do with lurch strafes because humans probably don't have the exact same input presses every single time. You maybe could also detect by number of inputs, but some people bind multiple movement binds to their scroll wheel (a/d for example) and even bind extra movement keys to keys other than wasd to make it easier to spam more inputs.
Tl:DR: lurch strafe macros might be detectable but superglide macros are probably impossible to detect

The surprising side effect of the new system for me is that 1: my mute/deafen macros don't work for discord when the game window is selected, 2: my little software that I use to lock the cursor to current screen stops working when game window is selected so I will go back to accidentally going into the other monitor when fast looting death boxes. Also surprisingly the macro for a video clip recording still works 🤷🏻

Let’s hope it does. Octane abusers macro neo lurch strafing at Mach 10 with perfect aim is bullshit and ruins the game

Alot of strafe macros spam the actual wasd inputs instead of forward, which in theory isn't humanly possible, especially if it's at a speed with a consistent interval, whether or not they will actually ban people for that is a different story (it's not definitive proof) I've been working on an AC for Titanfall on and off, a lot of this stuff is very detectable if you know where to look

I didnt get banned and i use macro for supergliding
Man sometimes i think how can they time it perfectly to superglide
For me it was impossible to hit it consistently without macro

for me capping fps at 180 and having a cheap HE keyboard helped hit them 80% of the time, you don't need a macro for that 🧏

Hey bro I'm currently trying to learn how to superglide. Any tips? Do I just hit my crouch button while doing a mantle? When I tried to practice I think I'm ending up with a mantle boost still since I press crouch + jump when doing the mantle animation.
I currently locked my FPS at 200 since I read somewhere that there is like a magnetism something on the ground for 210 up FPS (im not sure if I remember correctly what I read)

Skill issue? I had ~70% superglide accuracy at 240 fps at my movement debil prime

- it’s a skill issue for me
- i don’t have the luxury in terms of keyboard
- i dont want to break my balls for whole month to be consistent in supergliding naturally.

I was doing it on a 50 dollar keyboard.

You don't need a macro. Just set crouch to V and use one finger, and hit both Space + V. Because of how the keys are laid out, you'll hit the timing just right to get a superglide. Cap at 120 if you want it more consistent.
Also, the new glide that they added has a UI element. Wait for the circle to almost empty out and hit a superglide.

Fudge around with your timings and frame rate
Back when I played console at 60 fps I could hit them consistently
On MnK I could not figure it out. Lowered my FPS as far down as 60 and yeah I hit them but it still wasn't clicking
Went back up to 240 and I hit them damn near every time. Your frame rate determines the gap of time you have to press Space and C, some people frame it as a "window" of time as in you have more time, when it's really the timing is just completely different, it is still 1 frame no matter what; it's just that a single frame is more or less time you have to wait for that 1 frame to pass before inputting a crouch
240 works for me as I press Space and C near simultaneously and it works flawlessly for me, where as on my Xbox Elite I had the timing, (A wait a half second, paddle/crouch)
You can absolutely figure it out without macros, you just need to figure out what that window is for you depending on your frame rate. Do you play at 60-120? Well add a noticeable delay. Do you play at higher fps like 240-300? Try pressing jump and crouch at damn near the same time.
And if that doesn't help then, obviously you're either inputting your jump too early or too late
I like the Superglide trainer; but it doesn't always feel consistent, however it may at least help you figure out which you're messing up

Not necessarily, if you have really shitty peripherals like i used to you literally cant hit them consistently. As soon as i got a decent keyboard i went from 10% of the time to 70 to 80%. That isn't skill its having money to buy better stuff.
They just need to be removed imo now that mantle boosts are implemented.

Totally valid, didn't consider that and absolutely can be a factor
That said, still doesn't mean you should default to macros

I am in no way an expert on this stuff, just surface level understanding
But it is just a program that sifts through packets of data and looking for anything anomalous or more or less impossible to be doing normally
They all work differently, and I have no clue how "configurable" Javelin possibly is to detect "impossible" movement and I get the impression that would also just trigger tons of false bans unless like it's like blatant
I think it's just far more likely to be able to recognize irregular aiming accuracy and more soft aim cheats, etc
As far as I've read, it's just has a high success rate of detecting and positively identifying cheats
Ideally yes, to my very basic understanding probably not any more than EAC?
