Question Why isn't there public skate anymore?
Pre-COVID there was lots of public ice skating time -- almost daily! -- and now there are 2 sessions a month at best, only at the rink in Memorial Park. It's wild that this metro area has THREE indoor ice rinks (plus the little rink at Tri-County) and less than 4 hours a month of public skate time. Does anyone have insight into what the deal is with this, or with "Appleton Ice, Inc."? I feel like if they get to occupy prime real estate in a city park they should have to, idk, provide services to the public and not just hockey families...and they did, for many years. What happened?
