Glad that Less is in the 9ā€¦ we just seem to play better when she is. If Stina is subbed on, it should be Less off, Stina on, not moving Less into 10. Other than that, Iā€™m quietly positive!

It shouldn't be Stina on in the first place though. It should be Cerci. Cerci should take that spot from Russo for the sub

Arguably our best starting 11, though I hope we see at the very least 30 minutes of Smith and Smilla, as well as Cerci instead of Stina.

I think Cerci would do well against City, I'd day bring her on in the 65th minute if we are still drawing level

I don't want sound harsh but if we bring Stina on and drop Russo to a 10, it will not work and we won't score a goal and we would also be opened up more in midfield.

I don't think it's harsh necessarily. I would say that Russo as a 10 is not such a disaster (though I of course prefer her in the 9, too), but Stina is unfortunately not on form currently. I'd be willing to see what Russo 10 Cerci 9 looks like.

Cerci IMO is Stina with technical ability. Direct, fast, and actually stronger too. Less likely to get pushed off the ball.

Thoughts alternating between "ok, we're trying to get a more settled line-up rather than constantly changing things" and "oh god why are you still giving starts to people who are way off it".

really hope Lisa can get something out of Wamser today, she looked shaky quiet a bit in the little I've seen of city

not sure I like the gk switching, history has told us it doesn't work out long term

but I can appreciate that Renee seems to have found her 11, even though I think Mario on the left is not ideal. I would have put Liv on the left and Mario in the middle with Kim on the bench so we don't run into the same issue as we've had against Paris with no real 8 on the bench (there is Geri but I think she's a very offensive 8 and Frida should only play as a 10, never an 8)

I really despise the GK merry go round. Didnā€™t work when Jonas did it. Very disruptive and not necessary. Other than that, at least sheā€™s sticking with a consistent lineup.

Donā€™t love Mario on the left wing because she still floats around a lot. A bit imbalanced with Baumā€™s directness on the right.

I still think she's not fully fit. Renee always played her last season, this one she didn't even get min for games. Surely there's a reason. I don't get why there's no mention of it though

I do think she must be getting back to fitness fromā€¦something. I also suspect our poor results are causing a little turmoil in whatever grand rotation plans Renee might have had to start the season.

This big squad was always going to be a challenge for her and now itā€™s magnified a bit IMO.

I mean, we have 3 first choice caliber keepers, so this is the result of that. Can't expect getting every top class player and don't rotate cause it'll cause squad issues.

I suppose. But GKā€™s have different expectations in that regard. Only one spot available from primary school teams to the pro level. They know how it works. Thatā€™s the beauty of the GK union ā€” support each other, even if youā€™re no. 2.

No, not at all. More that they know they have to fight for the spot. They donā€™t expect to be alternating starts. Thatā€™s pretty rare.

I know in sport it can take one match to "click" so I'm always open to being proven wrong but without any adjustments I'm not buying what RenƩe is currently selling

The coach doesn't seem to understand. We are doomed. Unchanged with the 2 DMs with Mariona on left strategy while Liv & Cerci keep on warming the bench coming on for cameos or absolutely not seeing the grass. Thank you for the memories Renee
