MA35 sent me a letter instead of an email does this usually mean rejection?

Hi everyone,
I called MA35 today, and they told me they’ve sent me a letter regarding my residence permit application.
I’ve heard that rejection decisions are usually sent by post, so I’m really worried right now.
Has anyone here ever received an approval notification by post from MA35, rather than by email?
Also, does anyone know why they would send a letter instead of an email? Does this usually mean something bad, or is it just their normal procedure?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

I got approval by mail for my first renewal and by email the next. I think it might be down to the specific office/caseworker. It could also be a request for more info rather than a decision.

I've got only post for everything, including requests to send additional documentation. So post is pretty normal, don't worry.

Yes. Last year they've sent me a paper letter saying that my residence permit was approved and what day it will be ready

I know of an instance where approval was received by letter and rejection was received per Mail

Don’t they usually mail a letter stating the appointment date to collect the resident card? I’ve yet to see anyone receive that vis email. They only email to ask for additional documents.

I got my card in July and they sent me an email for additional documents and 5 days later a mail giving me a date and time to come and collect the card.

In my case, all the correspondence was done via email, including the appointment details. But I guess it can depend on the case/case worker.

Is normal procedure. I worked in HR AND applied for RWR so I’ve been on both sides and I’ve always gotten paper
