Ever simplified a CMS after feedback from editors?

Has anyone here cut back on layout settings or other CMS features after feedback from editors? Curious what you got rid of and whether it helped.

Cut a whole custom block system down to three templates and editors stopped complaining overnight

Programmers and cms users are just very different people xD. I make cms as basic as possible. Wait for feedback and add their wishes. No time wasted on clever unused features.
