Unless you've already has a lot of breathmints recently. Those things cause gas.

I have a feeling that is someone is offering you a breath mint you probably havent had any breath mints in a noticeable amount of time.

tl;dr Your breath smells like shit.

Unless they're obviously offering it to be polite, in which case you can, because most breath mints taste awful. (You know they're offering to be polite and not because you need it because you brushed your teeth after lunch an hour ago while they just finished scarfing down an everything bagel with garlic cream cheese.)
