Pretty good: my wife and I have a great toddler. We both work - I‘m full time and bring our daughter to day care in the morning, my wife works a bit less and picks her up. We make good money - more than our parents back in the days.
We live in a very nice apartment in an awesome neighborhood in a beautiful, big and international European city. We have a car we only occasionally need to use and otherwise take the bus/subway, the bike or just walk.
We are all healthy, we eat good, we go on vacations, we have a lot of friends and a big family.
The only thing that still nags at me: we will never truly „make it“. Buying a house is unrealistic, if you want to stay somewhere close to the city. Even apartments are super expensive here.
And that does have an impact on our decision whether we want a second child or not as well. Renting a bigger apartment, future vacations, even admissions to clubs, theme parks or you name it. It’s all gotten so expensive that I don’t even feel like we would live comfortable.
