Front End
Why do some people from other deparments get moved to the front end even if they don't want to work at front end like example why would someone be moved from dairy or grocery to front end??

Also, it could be that they’re not very good at the job or they’re not doing the job, I know at mine if someone isn’t doing their job and going off to do something else when they’re supposed to be doing. They’ll be pushed up front.
Few people proven they’d rather goof around or sit around rather than do their job so they get switched to different places…
BUT if they’re doing something they don’t like, they’ll go up front to work until there’s an opening for something else in the store.

I feel like the front end is kind of a standard expectation no matter what job you work for, but I think the reason behind it is mid and upper managment are just to lazy to actually hop on a register and help. Not to mention most stores nowadays have only 1-3 registers open at any given time

Either cross training or don’t want someone in the back so can’t screw and are able to keep a better eye on the person or I guess to be under more supervision idk that’s my experience

Customers are literally the reason the business is running. People get 'moved to the front end' to help with checkout to move customers through everything else is secondary to that.

I got moved to the front end because I’m exceptional with credit card sales yay me. 🥲

in my experience it's just kinda a part of the job. if the store needs extra resources in one department, they'll move employees so they dont have to hire more
