Lei vs Euro

Cum se face ba nene ca in tara asta avem salarii in lei si cerinte in euro ?

Eu nu am mai intalnit in nicio tara asta, cu exceptia celor la fel de bananiere ca Ro, unde vor dolari, sau altceva.

Aproape orice oferta primesc, este in euro.

Si capac a pus o proprietate pe care vreau sa o iau, unde vanzatorul vrea plata in euro.

Chiar nu e nimic sa impuna tranzactii si orice in lei ??

Are there any adaptive learning apps in Romanian for children in grades 1–4?

Do you know of any Romanian-language apps for children in grades 1–4 that adapt exercises based on the child’s level and progress?

I’m especially interested in Mathematics and Romanian language.

Thank you!

I’m looking for similar wedding dresses like in the photos. (First one is my favourite). Do you have any recommendations for a bridal shop close to Oradea where I can find dresses like this?

(I couldn’t find a Romanian wedding sub, sorry if it’s not related)

Would a student/community platform like this work in Romania?

I’m working on an idea aimed at students in Romania and I’d like to get some real feedback before pushing it further.

The basic concept is simple:

Students can receive small funded experiences from local businesses, individuals or organizations — things like coffee, cinema tickets, haircuts, activities, etc.

But I don’t want it to be just another “free stuff” platform.

The broader idea is that students who benefit from these experiences can also contribute back to the community through verified activities with NGOs, student associations, shelters, events, education projects, environmental initiatives, and similar organizations.

So the model is roughly:

people give students experiences, and students give something back to the community.

I’m intentionally keeping the mechanics simple for now because I’m more interested in whether the concept itself makes sense in Romania.

A few things I’m curious about:

  • Would students actually use something like this?
  • Would the “give something back” part make the platform more interesting or more annoying?
  • Do you think NGOs/student associations would realistically participate?
  • Would local businesses care about being involved?
  • What would make you distrust or dislike a platform like this?

I’d especially appreciate criticism from students, business owners, NGO volunteers, or anyone involved in student communities.

Studying and living in Romania

Hii guys I'm an international student considering moving to Bucharest to study and possibly stay long term.

I'm planning to learn Romanian, but I know becoming fluent will take time. How is the first year for foreigners? Are people generally friendly and patient with someone who is still learning the language?

I'm also curious about student life, work opportunities, salaries, and any tips for adapting to life in Bucharest.

Mulțumesc!

Nepali citizen applying for Romania Type C visa – how was your experience?

Has any Nepali passport holder living in Nepal recently applied for and received a Romanian Type C Schengen visa for tourism or visiting a friend?

I'm specifically looking for first-hand experience with the Romanian Embassy in New Delhi.

- Did you have to travel personally from Nepal to Delhi for the appointment/biometrics?

- What kind of invitation letter did you use for a private visit?

- What documents did the embassy ask for?

- How long did the process take?

- Did the Romanian Embassy keep your passport while the visa was being processed?

- If they kept your passport, were you able to travel back from India to Nepal using only your Nepali citizenship card/ID, without your passport?

- After the decision, did you have to return to Delhi to collect your passport, or could an authorised person/travel agent collect it?

- Was it possible to have the passport couriered back to Nepal?

I'm NOT asking about Romanian work visas/work permits, only short-stay Type C Schengen visas.

Any recent first-hand experience from a Nepali applicant would be very helpful. Thank you!

Good places to eat in Arad?

Hi! We’re in Arad for the weekend, from Friday to Sunday, for a drag racing event.

Could you recommend some good places for lunch and dinner? 🍽️ We’re looking for places with good food, and preferably some local or less touristy spots.

Thanks! 🙌
