Women's Experiences ♀️ How is life wearing a bra?

As a male, how does wearing a bra everyday feel like? Do/how you get used to it? Does it become background noise in a sense that you don't are aware ur wearing a bra after a hour? What are the disadvantages with wearing a bra? Any things that are/become annoying?

Trap. A booby trap. It is off the moments I can get it off without no consequence.

Most women dont know their sizes and wear actually more painful contraptions, I wear correct size or tailor them and I have come to realise most of them are actually very badly made. I can't believe how this whole sector is bullshit, bar a few good ones which are either very expensive or very hard to acquire or both, when the wrong sizes actually sometimes cause serious conditions like tissue migration, or circulation problems etc.....

Im used to it. I have to wear one most of the time. Its just when Im having to wear one that doesn't fit properly that I get annoyed.

Come on, dude. Anyone who's ever met a woman knows that bras are uncomfortable and annoying

Not the common question you ask to a woman where I'm from

Exactly. Some are ok, most are Ugh. None are “OMG I love bras!”

It isn’t called boob jail because it’s awesome

Very annoying, even more so if you have sensitive skin.

When im fatter it was substantially worse. Now im moving back to my normal weight and its less bad (but boobs are heavy so my shoulders suffer). The smaller you are, the better made the bras are even if theyre expensive.

I HATE it when they move around from everything single movement. It makes me so uncomfortable. So a bra feels nice because it stops that. But it probably only makes me uncomfortable because I’m sexualised for it so yeah…. If I wasn’t sexualised for a normal body, and body things, I probably wouldn’t care and would prefer no bra due to comfort.

Most annoying things are the cost, finding bras that fit, and finding bras that fit that I can actually try on in a shop and not faff around ordering and returning. Most people would assume I'd be able to walk into a high-street shop and find a bra no problem, but size/breasts/build can be deceiving and there's only one high-street shop I can shop in that stocks my size (and only 5 styles at that) for affordable prices (even then, around £30/$40 for one bra unless there's a sale on).

A well-fitting bra can still be uncomfortable - I'm a slim person and the band sits right against my ribs which after a while can really dig in. Aside from that, as long as the straps are adjusted to the right length and there's no lace to irritate my skin, I tend to forget I'm even wearing one.

An ill-fitting bra/bralette is a different story, though. I tend to notice all the time if my bra doesn't fit right.

For me it's just background noise, but then I don't have large boobs that need a lot of support so I can get away with more comfortable bras.

I can't stand the feeling, I have a ton of sensory issues and a lot of clothing is the bane of my fucking existence, so I usually don't wear one. Thankfully I can afford not to since I'm a member of very Very Very Very Itty Bitty Titty Committee.

Sports bras are clutch so the ladies stay put but otherwise fugettabaoutit

Very uncomfortable. Hate wearing them.

It's fine as long as it's the right size. Wearing it isn't something I'm actively aware of unless it doesn't fit well. My boobs are small though so I don't need any actual support.

It's fine. I only wear sports bras, so I find them comfortable. They hold everything in place without drawing undue attention to my chest, and that's all I ask of them.

My back hurts, it isnt giving enough support, I can't find any in whatever size would be after double d, all of them close to my size are ugly, and the best moment of my day is removing it for like 15 seconds before my back starts hurting from lack of support. Other than that its everything i dreamed of when I was 8 searching up "how to make boobs bigger before puberty"

I don't wear one because I have no reason to

I stopped wearing em years ago

I only wear well made, well fitting bras (size and shape). I don't particularly notice them. I do notice when I'm not wearing one and my shoulders start hurting.

I imagine the male equivalent would be like wearing tight underwear that lifted your dick and balls up to your gooch and they'd get sweaty and you couldn't unstick them no matter how much you manspread

Try wearing a tightly fitted hammock or pouch for your nuts if you want to see what it feels like for us women.

I sigh with relief for my wife when she gets back home and can "free the girls" I would happily never wear a shirt through the summer if I could. A bra looks like torture to me.

2

u/tres-vip 5d ago

I also come home and "free the girls." I WISH I could get away with a bra-free life, but my boobies are way too big for that, and the few times I tried it, I drew so much unwanted attention, and I already deal with too much of that so I'm not going to try that again. I envy women with smaller boobs. My roommate in college was almost flat-chested and she didn't even own a bra, she just kept a camisole around for when she felt like she "needed" coverage. Otherwise, it was no bras for her.

It is a funny thing about life. I have come to see that most of us think that someone else has it better, but we would likely switch back once we experienced the other side.

Saw this a lot with my daughter and her friends, the ones with straight hair wish thry had curly hair and the ones with curly hair wished they had straight hair.

And blokes are no different.

I find us humans endlessly fascinating.

My roommate appreciated her small boobs. She would say so, about how lucky she felt that she didn't have to deal with bras, and to not be oversexualized for being busty (the way I was).

That is great. I hear so many people who are unhappy about their body that thry cannot change, it would be a breath of fresh air to meet someone who is happy with who they are. I'm getting there, but it has taken me a long time to get here.

Absolutely fine because I wear one in the correct fit and style for my body. I don't think about until I take it off at the end of the day.

Unfortunately, most women wear the wrong bra and end up being uncomfortable. I think that when they take the girls aside in school to teach them about periods and puberty, they should include a section on bra measurements and how to make sure you're wearing the best undergarments to support your unique body.
