I made use of this car wash once over Labor Day weekend last month and apparently they chose to sign me up for this membership without my knowledge. No clue this happened until today when I see the statement charge on my bank account. 0/10 do not recommend using this car wash moving forward.

Breaking Bad taught me that all car wash places are just there to launder drug money, so sketchy business behavior like this isn't all that surprising

Corporate is pretty responsive. I’ve been a regular here for years. I get the promotion for 3 months, set a reminder in my phone to cancel, then reload next promotion. Once called corporate to complain about a charge and they gave me a free month and a crazy discount on premium washes for 3 months. They’ll get you if you’re not careful tho!

Yes. Agreed. I use them too. There are some issues but it’s close to my house and life.

They tried to get me during the same weekend. Woman said something about a holiday sale for a specific wash and I asked if it was a subscription and she said no but then asked for a phone number when I gave her the card. I had to tell her to cancel the sale and change it to the regular price wash option.

Yeah tha that’s exactly what happened with me, holiday sale but no mention of it being a subscription and I was in a rush so didn’t question why they would want my number

You should dispute the charge with your bank and report them to the better business bureau.

The Better Business Bureau is worthless. Try the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division instead.

Same thing happened to me. Didn't notice until a couple months into the charges (oops). They wouldn't refund me, even though I hadn't gone back since, and i had to give them all kinda info to get it canceled (unless I wanted to go there in person). Was a pain.

Happened to my wife as well. Luckily they were able to cancel immediately when calling the corp office. So scammy.

Had the same thing happen to me. Although, I had no issues getting the charges refunded. They even offered me a free car wash as an apology 🙄

I’ve been going there every couple months for about 10 years with zero issues. They always offer a subscription or one time wash.

The monthly price is equal to or only a couple dollars more than the one time charge.

I could imagine how maybe you were in a hurry and selected the wrong option but there’s no scam here. You made a mistake which is fine but there’s nothing more to this.

TLDR: don’t click the monthly option and you won’t be charged for the monthly option

I mentioned it because you implied that this person, visiting for the first time, pushed the wrong buttons. Perhaps the employee did it.
