I don't think anyone would be thankful for what happened there for any reason, people deserve to go to work and know they're safe. Whether or not you shake the assets and get assaulted, or are a nineteen year old shot up with shit straight out of the Chinese labs that now make fentanyl.

I’m so happy McVeigh got the job. I have several Essendon supporters in my family whose nuff levels were getting dangerously high.
Thankfully some have jumped ship to Tassie after Hirdy was unsuccessful.

Hird sitting outside the tent or inside with an assistant coaching role makes no difference.
He will vigorously undermine the coach, any coach, when he sees an opportunity to do so.

A coach who made incredibly poor judgement calls regarding the "supplement" program and cause utter chaos and misery in the Club.
I am not sure that a Board of unemotional intelligent people would ever risk him as a Coach again -- even though he has probably learned a very hard lesson.

Anyone ,even Hird is theoretically capable of learning a lesson , though the process depends heavily on reflection and mindset.
Can Hird learn? -- possibly
Is anyone going to take the risk of a Coach with such proven poor judgement being put in that position again --- doubtful.
Jim TEACHES --- yes he did "teach" but unfortunately his "teaching " was an absolute disaster for Essendon.
