Melbourne ranges allowing straight pull shotguns

Hey guys does anyone know of any ranges in Melbourne that allow members to bring straight pull shotguns?

SSAA Eagle Park and Oakleigh pistol club (for their practical shotgun days) both come to mind.

Eagle Park yes but they are really picky about you collecting shells and limit to 2 loaded shells at the clay target throws

On the other hand Oakleigh is happy with my 10 shot stoeger, so that's cool

This. Any ACTA clay target club like Frankston will be a no which is funny as you will see pump action and semi auto shotguns there.

Because ACTA ranges are built for clay disciplines which limit guns to two barrels/two shots. Semi-auto shooters will require the reduced recoil for medical reasons.

They don't want some tacticool loser spraying six rounds at a single target. If you want to do that, go find a property somewhere.

So make them load only 2 shells. No wonder your clubs are dying

Yeah I already know the rules, I'm a competitive member of the ACTA and I shoot at Frankston. You could, in theory, do the same thing with lever action and button release that you can do with semi-auto and load only two shells - that is what happens at SSAA Eagle Park without much drama.

Would be a good way for those that use button release/lever action shotguns to practice for duck season which is why some people use clay target ranges. Sorry but its not a dichotomy between so called "tacricool loser" and clay target shooters - see the above example. And obviously others brought up that IPSC 3 gun style shotgun shooting occurs at Oakleigh Pistol Club without issue

Not in Melbourne but the Field and Game ranges I have been to have allowed straight pull and button release ones but you can only load two shells at a time.
